Looks like Boris Johnson is getting serious.

Boris Johnson back? No thanks.

It looks, or at least I hope that this is what’s happening, as if the Prime Minister Boris Johnson is getting serious about getting out of the European Union and putting the brakes on the various plots by the ‘rabble alliance’ of Remainers in Parliament. It has been announced that when Parliament rises for this evening, Parliament will also be prorogued.

This means that the Remainers and pro-EU fanatics both in the Opposition and among the governing Conservative Party, will be unable to use Parliament for their nefarious end of keeping Britain in the EU. Although this move was expected to a very large extent, it is still good to see this action being confirmed.

It is to be hoped that this is the start of the period when Britain or rather its leaders, are going to finally put into place the public’s decision to leave the EU which we made in 2016. By suspending Parliament Boris Johnson has removed a dangerous weapon from the hands of Remainers. It’s now almost a dead cert that sometime before the end of this year we will have a General Election and it’s going to be one of the most important in modern British political history. It is also going to be a hard fought and possibly dirty campaign as neither the Left nor the Remainiacs will go quietly despite being on the losing side of both the Referendum and counter to the public’s mood. Expect fraudulent postal vote canvassing by Labour and dubious and spurious cries of ‘racism’ from the Left and Lib Dems as well as anti-English rhetoric from the more crazed sections of the Scottish National Party. Despite these factors, Mr Johnson has at least done some groundwork for this election by removing from the party whip those who are quite frankly treasonous towards the decision to leave the EU. It is to be hoped that these will be replaced by Brexiteer candidates especially in constituencies where the people voted Leave in 2016.

It really looks as things are finally moving with regards Brexit and we can leave the EU without one of their crappy surrender deals and start healing the wounds in the national political psyche, wounds that have been opened and kept open mostly by the Remain faction in politics. We need to get out of the EU before the bloc implodes in a messy explosion of dictatorial politics and economic mismanagement. I fervently hope that at last we are on our way out.
