Looks like Boris Johnson is going to betray British fishermen.

It used to be said about politicians that you should beware the politician who betrays his wife as this means it will be likely that he will also betray others. Such a comment could be written about the serial betrayer of wives, Boris Johnson and how he is likely to treat Britain’s fishing industry.

David Kurten the Heritage Party candidate for London Mayor next year, is claiming over at Gab that the agreement that the Johnson government has reached with the European Union will not bring back Britain’s fishing rights but will instead reduce the foreign caught quota by only one third. If this claim is correct then this is an utter betrayal of Britain’s fishing industry, an industry that has been shafted for decades by the EU.

If Mr Kurten and his sources are accurate then what we have got from Johnson is not the Brexit that we all voted for. It is a Brexit in name only where the EU can still interfere in a fishing industry that could, without the poaching from EU boats, be much bigger, efficient and sustainable than it currently is. Unless the reports of a fishing betrayal turn out to be unfounded rumours, it will probably be safe to say that Boris Johnson has betrayed his nation just as easily as he has serially betrayed his wives and his girlfriends.

  1. Let’s put it this way, I’d be infinitely more surprise if he didn’t betray our fishermen and fishing industry.

Anyone who thought otherwise is either gullible, stupid or hasn’t been paying attention: or all of the above.

Agree. It’s been apparent for months with the msm repeatedly running “It’s only 0.5% of GDP” – that’s because France alone is given 80% of our cod, others have some too.

French banned? They go bust & sell boats, we buy them and use them. That’s how market works. I hope Heath is still painfully burning down below

Johnson has already handed NI to RoI/EU. Gib next – Blair wanted to?

imo Sovereign Waters and Territory are an important point, giving them up to EU is a foot in door for more
