Update on arrest for ‘hate speech’

Picture shows the moment shortly after the front door of counterjihad blogger Fahrenheit211 was broken in by officers led by PC Choudhury (at bottom of image) of Sadiq Khan's 'hate speech and hate crime' unit.

As many will know, I was arrested by officers from London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s vanity project the ‘hate speech and hate crime hub’. For full details on my arrest see this post and this post.

Before I give an update I would like to say thank you to those who have given me assistance recently whether that be moral support and even financial support to me following my arrest following a complaint about a mocking meme by a high profile London based Muslim activist. It seems that this person is vexed by the use of the word ‘taqiyya’ and criticisms of hyperbole from Islamic activist groups regarding ‘Islamophobia’.

I am extremely gratified that so many thousands of peoplc from the United Kingdom and across the world have publicised what has happened to me. I’m gratified not just because I’m getting a considerable amount of support in my fight against the abuse of all too easily abusable ‘hate speech’ laws, but because it shows that there is support for the many others out there who have been persecuted for ‘hate speech’.

I have been asked to give an update on how the case is going. Unfortunately due to not wishing to give the Police or the Crown Prosecution Service any ammunition they could use to defend themselves, there are parts of this update that have to, for the moment, be necessarily vague.

It is nearly three weeks since I was arrested at my home near the Welsh border by PC Choudhury and officers from both the Metropolitan Police assisted by West Mercia Police. Since then I have heard nothing from them and neither have they returned the IT equipment that they seized from my home, some of which does not even belong to me.

I have taken some legal advice and part of that advice was to both gather evidence that challenges the police’s narrative and to also lock down and not edit my original account of the arrest even though there is an error in the timeline in this article. This is because for this particular article to be considered as contemporaneous by any future court, then it needs to remain unedited. The full and accurate timeline can be had from the CCTV which is linked to above. The gathering of evidence, some of which may indicate police wrongdoing is ongoing but I want to keep my powder dry regarding this matter for the moment.

This looks like it is going to go the way of many other similar ‘hate speech’ cases where the process of investigation and prosecution is a large part of the punishment. The usual way that these dubious ‘hate speech’ cases pan out is that the police leave the accused in the dark and on a hook sometimes for years whilst they pretend to investigate the issue concerned.

I have still not been charged despite three weeks elapsiing and neither have I yet received any letter stating that I need to come in for a ‘voluntary’ interview with the police.

It should go without saying that I will vigorously fight this iffy arrest and the equally iffy political and communal forces behind it. However I’m fighting not just for myself, but also for the thousands of other Britons who have been persecuted by these ludicrous and unjust ‘hate speech’ laws. We all, even those with whom I vehemently disagree, need to be able to speak freely no matter who is ‘offended’ by what is said.

I am a British expat living in Canada and just wish to say how much I admire your willingness to stand in the way of danger to speak up for freedom and what was once the British way of life.

  2. Hello F.
I am glad you are still fighting this. Keep going. It seems the world has gone topsy turvy with police arresting people for honest opinions rather than concentrating on real crime. Tell me, have they given you a search warrant yet? Are you going ahead with a complaint? You don’t want this hanging over you for months or even years.
Good luck with getting your stuff back. When I eventually got my stuff back it was all broken. Unfortunately I have no proof over who broke it. Needless to say it was all in working order when they took it.
Anyway, keep your chin up and keep going. You have a lot of people behind you.

    Best wishes.

  3. Good luck F! The west has gone insane so it will be a difficult fight. How dare they even criticize Russia! There is no justice in the UK as all institutions are so corrupt!
