Africa’s Jihad horror continues – 14 Christians murdered by Muslim terrorists

Whilst Britain yet again reels from another very preventable Islamic terror attack, we should not forget that other people in other parts of the world are also being murdered by the followers of the death cult that is Islam. In Africa, in the nation of Burkina Faso, there has been an ongoing jihad aimed at Burkina Faso’s Christian population which has claimed many lives and contributes to the decline in the security situation in that country. Without security there can be no development and without development there is poverty, therefore in my view these attacks are contributing to developmental retardation in all too many African nations.

The latest Islamic horror to be visited by Islam onto Burkina Faso came recently when a gang of Muslim terrorists attacked a church killing 14 people according to a report on the website US News (h/t ROP).

US News said:

At least 14 people were shot dead in an attack on a church in eastern Burkina Faso on Sunday morning, the government said.

The identity of the gunmen was not immediately clear and further details on the attack had yet to emerge. Burkinabe armed forces were caring for the wounded and searching the area, the government said in a statement.

The attack took place in the village of Hantoukoura near the border with Niger in the Est region, an area known for banditry that has come under attack over the past year from suspected jihadist groups with links to al Qaeda and Islamic State.

The timing of the latest incident, during hours of worship, mirrored other attacks on Christians this year — a new phenomenon in a West African country that has long prided itself on its religious tolerance.

This is not the first of this type of attack carried out on civilians by Islamic terrorists. On the sixth of November of this year, Islamist gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying mine workers and took the lives of 39 people. The US News report went on to say that ‘hundreds’ of people have been killed so far this year by jihadists either acting in the name of or inspired by the Al Qaida and ISIS terror groups.

We should not ignore the massive number of deaths that have been caused by Islamic jihadists in Africa or just shrug them off as ‘happening in a far away place of which we know little’. This is because not only would it be morally wrong to do so, after all we are all human, but also because what these savage jihadists do in Africa, they will in time want to do in our Western nations as well.
