‘I knew nothing’ says Dave ‘Burkha’ Thompson of West Midlands Police

Chief Constable Dave 'Burkha' Thompson who has found himself dragged into the Manchester Islamic Rape Gang scandal.

Dave Thompson, the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police and a man relaxed about the idea of policewomen in burkas, has had his name dragged into the scandal over the handling of Manchester’s Islamic Rape Gang problem by Greater Manchester Police. CC Thompson was a Chief Inspector at the time that an investigation into Islamic Rape Gangs, Operation Augusta, was closed down by senior Greater Manchester Police officers. CC Thompson recalls Augusta being mentioned at a police resources meeting, however he has denied any involvement in Operation Augusta itself and also has denied any part in closing this operation down.

CC Thompson is likely to be telling the truth here. If he was a Chief Inspector with a geographical patch that he was responsible for, then the decision to close down Operation Augusta may have nothing to do with him and more to do with officers more senior than him. This leaves us with the question who shut down the investigation and why?

The ‘who’ question is going to take some digging and may very well involve looking at the contacts between senior council employees – some who went on to take up senior Children’s Services positions elsewhere, after the 2005 scandal in which the police started to take a sadly temporary interest in the Islamic Rape Gangs – and the police. Someone had the ultimate say so when it came to shutting it down but I suspect that such individuals will be ‘circling the wagons’ about them as I write. The ‘why’ question on the other hand may be more easily answered. The police say that they shut down Augusta on ‘resource grounds’ which looks to me to be a little odd as an operation that has had so much success in identifying complainants and alleged perpetrators, seems like exactly the sort of operation that should receive funds. The ‘resources’ issue may well be a feint.

The suspicion that I have, and it is a suspicion that will be held my many others, is that the police realised just how big of a shitstorm they’d uncovered when it came to Islamic Rape Gangs and sex slavery. For GMP this must have been like a householder suddenly discovering hitherto undiscovered rot under the floorboards. When GMP discovered the extent of the Islamic Rape Gang problem, like the bad householder who just puts the carpet back down and forgets about the rot, they decided that they didn’t want to know any more about what was going on. GMP must have known that it would have been difficult if not impossible to get the sort of cooperation from the Muslim communities in Manchester that they, the GMP, should have expected, in order to bring the rapists to justice. The insularity and hostility that is present in some British Islamic communities would have prevented the sort of cooperation that police require in these sorts of investigations. They must also have known that there was the very real possiblity that arresting Muslim rape suspects may have caused Muslims to riot. But, nstead of preparing for expected street trouble or trying to find a way around the non-compliance of Muslim ‘community leaders’, GMP just shut down Operation Augusta and hoped the problem would go away. GMP took the way of the appeaser and the coward.

So where does Dave ‘Burkha’ Thompson fit in with all of this. Well CC Thompson has admitted that he was present in a meeting to discuss resources and the subject of Operation Augusta came up. Many would be interested in what CC Thompson’s input was to this meeting? Did he involve himself in any discussion of Augusta and did he speak for or against the operation? Also interesting would be any justifications made oby GMP senior management as to why they considered Augusta a less prioritised recipient of resources? Maybe CC Thompson should search his memory to see if he can recover some more details?

Having heard and read about the way that Greater Manchester Police appeased the Islamic community over the issue of the Islamic aspect of child sexual exploitation in Manchester, I’m not surprised that the future Chief Constable of West Midlands Police Dave Thompson, turned out to be such an Islamopanderer. If he has spent a lot of his working life in a force that has routinely given a free pass to the followers of Islam and had pandered to their demands, then it is little wonder that he has promoted similar policies of Islamopandering in his West Midlands force. It’s quite possible that CC Thompson’s penchant for crawling when it comes to Islam such as his virtue signalling fast during Ramadan or his call for misogynistic Islamic garments to be part of police uniform, developed not in Birmingham but in Manchester?

Although CC Thompson may, when a much more junior officer, have had nothing to do with the Augusta operation or its closure, the friendship that he feels towards Islam, a friendship that looks to some of us as if it borders on subservience, may become a hinderance to him and his force in the future. This is because it is more than likely that the next big reveal when it comes to Islamic Rape Gangs may well be in CC Thompson’s current police area. Many of the problems, both demographic and in terms of policing culture, that were present in Rotherham, Manchester and the North East which lie at the heart of the Islamic Grooming Gang problems, are also present in the West Midlands Police area. Basically WMP’s area has lots of Muslims and lots of State Islamopandering and as we’ve seen in Manchester this is not a good mix if we want police forces to protect us and our children from assault by members of one particular group.

Under both CC Thompson and significantly his predecessor Chris Sims, who seemed to take a bit of a ‘hands off’ approach when it came to policing crime in certain ‘minority’ areas, there has been a continual drip drip of information concerning child sexual exploitation in the WMP area. It seems that the WMP area is a massive and bulging can of Islamic sexual exploitation worms that could at any point, burst open. When this occurs there will be a need for the police to do what they should have done years ago and prosecute those alleged to have committed sexual crimes. I don’t believe that it should be a force commanded by Dave ‘Burkha’ Thompson as I don’t think that much of the public would trust him to carry out such an investigation. The closeness that CC Thompson has to those involved in the ideology of Islam, his obsession with ‘diversity’ and his admtted presence at a controversial meeting in which a child sex abuse operation was shut down, all contribute to the feeling that when the levee breaks in his force area and the scale of the Islamic Rape Gangs activities is revealed, he will be seen, rightly or wrongly, as tainted. Any investigation into what has gone on and probably is still going on in the West Midlands Area should be investigated by officers from outside WMP.

There is however a way that CC Thompson might not end up being remembered as little more than a noxious and worthless diversity officer in a uniform, which is how some of us see him. He could for example stop the blatant Islamopandering about fasting, Islam and burkas, do some proper policing and maybe institute a thorough examination of the Islamic Rape Gang problems in his area going back decades. Sadly, like too many perveyors of ‘Bramshill Bullshit’ and of the class of politicised police that have been burdened on us by the Blair govt, I’m not sure that CC Thompson would be prepared to take such a bold, brave step even though many outside of police and political circles would praise him for doing so.

  1. Burkha Thompson, the Sergeant Schultz of West Midland Sharia Plods. I saw nothing, I know nothing, I say nothing.

  2. The Macavity of the police force – or, to be more accurate, one of the hundreds of Macavitys in the upper echelons of the British police.
