Happy Diwali to all the readers of this blog who celebrate it.

Tomorrow, November 14th, is the start of the festival of Diwali which is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists. It is a festival celebrating the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil, which are all in my view things worth celebrating.

All the faiths that celebrate Diwali do so for their own specific reasons and according to the tenets of their own faiths and mark it in their own way. Because I know that this blog has a large number of readers in India and among the Indian diaspora, I wanted to take the opportunity to wish all those who celebrate Diwali a very happy time full of light and joy.

  1. Strange time of year to celebrate light when it’s reducing every day until 21 December
