Quote of the Day 01/01/2021 – On extracting ourselves from the EU.

There was a pretty good comment over at Guido from Yossarian and one that I mostly agree with. I agree that there is now a need, now we are out of the EU, to confront the left-dominated Establishment. But I disagree with Yossarian’s statement that Boris Johnson may be the man for the job. This is because I doubt very much that Boris has either the balls or the inclination to take on some of the vested interests and leftist infiltrators that Yossarian names.

Yossarian said:

Happy New Year Guidoistas! (Including even Nellie, Adam and their fellow, Guardian bedwetters whose fawning, EU dream is now a daily nightmare).

Even though we all remain locked up, it’s still wonderful to wake up, thick headed and frayed at the edges, in a UK finally free from the ever tightening and suffocating death coils of the EU anaconda.

There is, rightly, optimism in the crisp, wintery air. It will not be easy, but the assorted folk of our splendid little country – England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland – have triumphed together many times before and can do so again.

The London establishment despises those who live outside their gilded cage of wealth, privilege and influence – their view of the UK and plans for it are at odds, and in conflict with, the majority of the population.

We still have to confront and counter the BBC and the London media, many MPs, nearly all the leaping Lords & Ladies, the quangos, think tanks, alleged charities, the trade union leaders, the educational establishment, the senior judiciary, the senior police, senior Civil Servants, the SNP, the NHS monolith, Khan, the Green and BLM extremists, and the big mouthed and big headed hypocritical luvvies. (The London Labour Party is increasingly irrelevant.)

It will be a tough fight and a monumental task to undo, purge and cleanse the decades of infiltration and cronyism cynically orchestrated by Blair and his cronies. It must be done and it can be done if Boris has the will.

We can take great heart that our opponents are low quality, low calibre, bottom feeders, charlatans and discredited, deep snout troughers devoid of personality, charm, charisma and majority support.

An exciting and bright future lies ahead for us – the potential is there. Here’s hoping we seize the many opportunities in 2021 and beyond.

From here in West Wales in our frosty, seaside village of Pant-y-Bra, we are proud to say we are both Welsh and British – how lucky we are! We will never lose our friendship with, and warmth towards, our disparate European neighbours, but we will always retain antipathy towards the EU.

Cheers all and apologies for the rant! Best wishes to to you all – at the very least 2021 will be interesting. Boris has always sought his place in history; he has that opportunity, but will he grasp it?
