Political cess pit round up. The Batley and Spen byelection.

Seen a few links and articles about the incredibly divisive byelection campaign at Batley and Spen. The first is a two part article that I saw over at Capitalists At Work. Part one of this article deals with the ‘student politics’ that Labour have descended into whilst the second part deals with the fact that Labour are now so lacking in support among the bulk of the population that they need the Islamic bloc vote.

Part One

Part Two

This blogger is bang on when they call this particular byelection a ‘deeply problematic spectacle’.

The Guido Fawkes site has also uncovered yet more of the mess that the Batley and Spen contest has become. Guido has said that the Labour candidate, Kim Leadbetter, has made the false claim that the furore over the local grammar school teacher who was hounded out of house and area by a Muslim mob over his use of a Mohammed cartoon, has been resolved. This statement by Ms Leadbetter is not true. The matter has not been ‘resolved’. The teacher is still in hiding from the extremist Muslims who want him dead.

You can read the Guido piece via the link below:

I really really want Labour to lose this one, because they deserve it for the division that they’ve caused and the open pandering to one group in order to get their votes. I’m going to stay up tonight to watch any feeds of the count, because I suspect that it will end up in a bun fight of one form or another. If Labour win with the assistance of potentially iffy postal votes then there will be political trouble and if the Tories win with honest votes then it will cause much needed and welcome ructions in the Labour Party. Also I would not be at all surprised if some of the conduct at the count or rather after it will similar to that seen at elections in less benighted places than the UK, no matter who wins.

Leadbetter means that it has been “resolved” in the way that pleases islamists – the teacher has been forced out of his job / the school has capitulated / the police have done nothing / the local MP has done nothing / the Home Office have done nothing / the Prime Minister – so vocal in denouncing anyone who makes a few on-point remarks to his pet Covid-crisis instigator, Chris Whitty – says nothing / the teacher’s union won’t defend him / no other teacher will use a Mohammad cartoon in that school again / possibly no other school anywhere will either / all teachers have got the message to surrender to islam / the local islamists have got the message that mob rule succeeds / ditto islamists every where.

“Resolved” in Leadbetter’s mouth bears about the same relationship to anyone normal’s definition of the word, as the word “peace” does in islam – in which “peace” is achieved after the non-muslims have converted, surrendered, or been killed.

You may be correct that to Leadbetter the issue may have been resolved to the satisfaction of what is now Labour’s ‘core vote’.

I also noticed that the PM was far more vocal about the Whitty incident than he was about the teacher. The teacher has been thrown under the bus even his union has abandoned him in order to engage in political fellatio with Batley’s Islamic extremists.

  2. I notice the almost complete lack of reporting about today’s election on the BBC new site. Effectively just that it’s happening. Wonder why that is?

Welcome to F211. (sarc) I cannot for the life of me work out why how a left leaning broadcaster fails to mention something that might make the Left look bad (sarc off).

  3. I’ve been doing my best to ignore this one but l’m ashamed to say, like the typical ‘rubber necker’, my attention keeps being drawn back to this car crash of a bye-election. Yes, part of me is enjoying labour squirm as it gets tied in knots by the weakness of it’s own ideologies, the way thuggish islamists are showing the country at large just how unpleasant they are, and, of course, the ruthlessness of Galloway in this mood has entertainment value in it’s own right.

Has anything of value been raised? Not that l am aware of. I do feel sorry for Leadbeater though, l may dissagree with her politics but l think she was given an impossible task even before Galloway piled into action and that Birmingham thug harrassed her. As you said, this is not how democracy is supposed to work (although it does seem to be the norm in the main culprits countries of origin).

As for a challenge to Kier Starmer l can’t see it being successful but you never know with Labour. They might just make my year by electing Jess Phillips or Dawn Butler to the top job – an old man can dream l suppose.
