Some eco-terrorist ‘Tarquins’ get twatted. Let’s applaud the public for their actions and condemn the Met over their inaction

.

It seems that the eco-terrorists of Insulate Britain have been active again in London and have blocked the Blackwall Tunnel approach, several other roads and Wandsworth Bridge. As usual the mainstream media in the form of Sky News has fawned over them by treating them as if they had a point and equally unsurprisingly the Met Police have failed dismally again when it comes to clearing the eco-terrorists from the roads.

However, according to a video put up on the Guido Fawkes site, motorists who were blocked at Wandsworth Bridge decided to do the job that the Met Police have failed yet again to do and drag this bunch of eco-terrorist ‘Tarquins’ out of the road. What appears to have happened is that the eco-terrorists blocked the road, not only preventing law abiding Britons from getting to work and to medical appointments, but also blocked the passage of an ambulance.

The video shows members of the public doing the Met’s job for them and dragging the eco-terrorists off of the road so that the traffic, including the ambulance, could get through. One thing that you will note about the video of the Wandsworth incident is that the Met police are absolutely nowhere to be seen. They are completely absent. It is as if for all intents in purposes the police, which the motorists who were delayed by the Tarquins needed to be present and do their jobs, did not exist. Sadly, knowing how debased the Met has become in recent years, I fully expect that the police will now spring into action, not to deal with the road blocking eco-terrorists, but to harass and intimidate the members of the public who did the job that the Met appears to be refusing to do.

Having watched the video I believe that the members of the public who tackled these worthless and disruptive ‘Tarquins’ behaved with extreme and admirable restraint. All they did was pull the Tarquins off of the road and deposit them on the traffic island. What really galls me about this video and more importantly with the behaviour of the eco-terrorists is that even when one member of the public said to them that there was an ambulance being blocked, the eco-terrorists still refused to move. In light of their behaviour I think that the Tarquins got off very lightly as there is an increasing amount of anger rising about the actions of these eco-terrorists and the failure of the police to properly deal with them.

  1. Situation normal, these days you don’t expect the Police to be around when you actually need them. Now if you forget your MOT or don’t pay your TV license that’s a different matter, always go after the normally law abiding is the name of the game, they don’t cause you any real work or trouble and they have a few bob in savings so they can be forced to pay up.

Welcome to F111. It is indeed ‘situation normal’ with the police seemingly nowhere to be seen when eco-terrorists block roads. You are completely correct when you say that there’s always police around when there is low hanging and lucrative fruit to be gathered from the law abiding. Wandsworth Police Station is only three quarters of a mile from Wandsworth Bridge yet no police officers seemed to be available to drag these middle class eco-terrorists out of the way of working people. Where were the police I wonder? I doubt that they were attending burglary calls as it’s very difficult to get an officer to turn out for these sort of things these days. Maybe they were otherwise engaged on a ‘diversity course’ or admiring the rainbows painted on their cars or even sitting on Twitter looking out for anyone saying something that someone might deem ‘offensive’.

As I’ve said numerous times before, civilised and advanced nations require police forces that the public can have confidence in. Sadly that’s not a situation that the people of London have at the moment. I worry about all this as when the police fail to deal with crime then you see the rise of vigilante movements and these vigilante movements are none too choosy about whether the people they are targeting are guilty or innocent. As someone who has studied the Gordon Riots I understand how easily mobs can get out of control and how ‘King Mob’ is a terrible and unjust leader.
