Pricking the balloon of hypocrisy. A short and funny video.

There are many people of various religions, including mine, who really do walk their talk. They are the ones who put their faith into action for the benefit of others and for the wider society. Such individuals are the ones who dish out food to starving tramps on a cold winters day or run playgroups for children or stick their hands into their own pockets in order to help the needy and the genuinely oppressed.

But there are others of religious faith who are hypocrites. The ones who say the right words or make the right actions in public whilst in private they sin and sin bigly.

A few years ago there was an example of this in the form of a Rabbi from the North of England who wasn’t exactly on the right and proper path and was alleged to have been involved, along with local glitterarti, in various Cocaine and hookers incidents. The singer and entertainer Daniel Cainer wrote a song based on this case, although he has changed names and obscured identities possibly for legal reasons or to protect this Rabbi’s innocent relatives. The song’s called ‘Bad Rabbi’ and it’s a hoot.

  1. Absolutely wonderful F211.
There is something distinctive delightfully about both Jewish music (I think its the intervals used) and humour.
