Quote of the Day 03/11/2022 – Let him eat Ostrich balls.

The news that Matt Hancock Britain’s former Health Secretary and one of the prime movers behind Britain’s disastrous Covid lockdown policy, a policy that existed for far far longer than could be seen to be reasonably necessary, is to temporarily leave politics in order to appear on ‘I’m a Celebrity get me out of here’, has elicited a number of pungent comments. Most of these comments are negative about Hancock as can be expected as Britons are now paying the price in terms of inflation, the damaged education of our children and the health problems caused by the NHS becoming a purely Covid-only health system.

However there was a comment made on social media by the Telegraph columnist Alison Pearson that summed up what many of us feel about Hancock. Ms Pearson said:

Ms Pearson is correct. Even those of us who could see that maybe a couple of weeks of shutdown might have been reasonable when faced with a novel disease, now recognise that the extensive lockdowns were wrong both in practise and in principle. The lockdowns caused immense social and economic damage and it is ordinary British people, not those politicians who pushed for lockdowns, who will pay the price over the coming decades. Having to eat some Ostrich testicles is but a tiny bit of recompense for what Hancock did to Britain.

  1. This man has probably woken up to the fact that both himself and his party have no chance at the next election. Like most of our politicians he is looking after himself and raking in as much cash as he can get before being thrown out on his ear.
