The unforeseen outcomes of the Gender Recognition Act

Like many people I supported the move to allow those individuals who are genuinely transsexual to be recognised as the sex they desire to be. This is because I knew from personal contacts and experience that there are some individuals for whom transition is the very last resort treatment to cure their gender related mental distress and who have had little or no success with any other treatment. These individuals have with full knowledge of the consequences, completed the gruelling and sometimes life limiting process of gender reassignment because it’s the only way left for them.

Unfortunately, allowing people to identify, legally or otherwise, as a member of the opposite sex has not only made life easier for the decent, law abiding, socially responsible transsexual person, but has also had a number of unforeseen and very negative consequences. One of those consequences is that predators, criminals and other anti-social types have been able to use the doctrine of transgender as a shield or as a means to an end for example to gain access to a predator’s chosen victim or potential victim.

From my memory of the debates that were being had in my circle of friends, which included several transsexuals, over the Gender Recognition Act when it was first mooted, there was a lot of focus on the benefits to the decent individuals of our acquaintance who happened to be transsexual of legal reform in this area. Very little thought or words as I recall was given or spoken regarding any downsides either for transsexual people or the wider community.

Maybe if those of us debating had considered any potential downsides of gender recognition then it might have been possible to not leave legal and political loopholes that would be exploited by gender identity extremists, misogynists, narcissists and bullies along with those with some pretty awful paraphilias. It should have been possible to help and protect a miniscule number of genuine transsexuals without endangering women and children, destroying women’s spaces and places, making a mockery of women’s sport or unwittingly assisting groomers and such like.

One of the things that has seriously alarmed me about where the trans movement has gone is regarding criminals and predators. Those with such inclinations have readily and increasingly flocked to the cult of trans. The result of this movement of those with odd and troublesome inclinations attaching themselves to the trans cult is that the tiny community of those who identify as trans, 250k or 0.5% of the population at last UK Census, has a problem with the community being exploited by opportunistic predators, lots and lots of predators.

Trans activists are fond of saying that transgender people are not predators and that sexual predation by those who identify as trans is not a real thing but instead is a transphobic slur. To be fair to trans people there are trans individuals who are not predators but who are relatively normal people. The problem is that when you start to dig into data or look at trans crime aggregation sites like Trans Crime UK you can easily see that the claims by trans activists of there not being any appreciable amount of predatory or criminal trans people, are dishonest ones.

The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of criminals that seem to be attached to this tiny minority of those who identify as trans. These criminals are not just sexual deviants or those who commit sexual crime, although there’s quite a few of those to be found on Trans Crime UK, but also thieves, fraudsters, violent thugs, those who threaten violence and those involved with the misuse of explosives and who have committed terrorist offences. That’s a lot of criminals for such a small community and these crimes are not those generally committed by women, who when incarcerated are in the main gaoled for non -violent offences. It’s quite obvious to me that not only are trans women not women but that transwomen’s crimes are often stereotypically male crimes, crimes of sexual exploitation and violence.

Britain does have a problem with there being a disproportionate number of criminals who identify as Trans. These individuals do so it seems either because they are already dangerous criminals and want to exploit the ideology of trans to find potential victims for their depraved lusts or to use their trans identity in court via mitigation in order to wangle a lighter sentence or an easier prison experience. There are also others for whom trans is but another factor in their criminal insanity.

It should have been possible for British society and the British Parliament to fashion a way of helping the tiny number of genuine transsexuals out there that did not end up disadvantaging or displacing women or allowing and tolerating the compelled speech of ‘preferred pronouns’. It should have been in society’s interest to protect children from the fact free identity politics propaganda put out by trans activists, whilst still giving legal protection to those ordinary workaday and, in my experience, often decent individuals who had reached their last chance mental health saloon which was transition.

But things have gone both all wrong and really far too far. Legislation that in my opinion at the time was correct and benefited some of my contemporaries has ended up being exploited by gender identity activists and has driven a coach and horses through everything from justifiable sex based rights to child safeguarding.

Trans positive legislation has had some serious negative unforeseen outcomes and change must in time come so that predators, criminals and the chaotically insane that have been exploiting such legislation were stopped from doing so. The excesses of the trans movement are pissing a lot of people off and I among others would welcome these excesses being curbed and common sense, compassion and biological reality again becoming our lodestones. The problem is we can’t really expect any help from the Government as the world of Westminster and the Civil Service and NGO Adminisphere is riddled with very active and sometimes quite extreme trans activists who the Government listens to far too much. All we can really do is to continue to do what is now appearing to be working, which is to point out that the non-binary Trans Emperor has no clothes and that the Emperors perfume smells not of flowers but of rotting flesh.

The truth must be told and some of these truths are: Humans are a sexually dimorphic species and always have been. It is not possible to fully change sex. Gender reassignment treatment is to put it frankly, brutal, not to be taken lightly, is often not successful and has appalling complications both physically and mentally for those who undergo it. There is no such thing as non-binary gender identity and those who claim they are such are basically pretending to be something they are not. Men should not be in women’s spaces and vice versa and women’s sports should not be a retirement plan for failed male athletes.

We need to keep repeating these truths as the repetition of these truths is starting to get through, a lot more people are discovering what’s behind the trans curtain and for good reasons they don’t like much of what they see. A lot more people than there used to be are getting what is called ‘peaked’ about trans, approaching a point when a person can no longer go along with the trans bullshit and decides enough is enough and calls it out. Britons should be proud that this nation is called Terf Island by some of the adherents of the cult of trans because it means that we are therefore known for speaking the truth about such things as biology, women’s rights, children’s safety and the appalling misuse of language that the trans ideology has had a part in promoting.

The fallout from the passing of the Gender Recognition Act has been truly appalling. It might have helped the miniscule number of genuine transsexuals out there live a better life, but it has become a bit of a Trojan Horse for too many of the sort of misguided, twisted, depraved and dangerous individuals who are outside of normal society for damned good reasons, to attack our society for their own ends. I hope and pray that when the trans lunacy genie is rammed back into the bottle, as most surely it must, that the innocent individual for whom transition was for them their last hope of mental peace, is not immured with the guilty. However many of us would be glad to see the backs of the guilty ones such as the trans propagandist, the trans criminal, the abuser shielding themselves with the badge of ‘trans’, the advantage taking ‘cock in a frock’ predator and all the other disgraceful things that the cult of trans has brought in its wake.

I’ve sent over the last few days, to all my contacts, an email containing a petition to His Majesty’s Government asking it to reconsider this very poorly drafted piece of legislation. It has over 60,000 signatures ( so far). However, in the light of yesterday’s decision by HMG to block the Scottish Legislation this battle may already have been won. At least for the time being.

I’m no fan of this government but they’ve made the correct decision here to block this bill.

Well currently it’s the only one we have so I guess we just have to work with what we’ve got. I don’t see any alternative appearing any time soon

The alternative to reform of the GRA and the Equality Act to stop the nutcases from exploiting these acts would be to repeal the GRA which would satisfy some but not all.
