Remember 7/7

Today is the 18th anniversary of one of the worst terrorist attacks to happen on British soil and certainly the worst Islam-inspired attack, apart from the Pan Am Flight 103 attack in 1988 that Britain has suffered. This attack is the one known as 7/7 and was a suicide attack on London’s public transport system. 52 people died in this attack with hundreds of others who were injured and the victims were not just Britons. As London is very much a world city because of its history of trade and commerce, those who died came from 18 different nationalities.

In other memorial posts on here regarding this I’ve told how both myself and the woman who is now my wife missed being caught up in the attack by sheer chance, being in bed with a bad flu in the case of my wife and taking a different train at a different time in my case. Both of us could have ended up being victims of this Islamic atrocity because we were lucky, others sadly were not so lucky and ended either killed or injured because of the murderous Muslims behind this plot.

It’s now eighteen years since this Islam-inspired atrocity and there are all too many signs that the mainstream media in particular wants to forget and for us to forget what happened. A brief perusal of the Sky News site shows no sign that this media outlet at least wants to remember not just those who died or who were injured but also those who murdered them and what ideology they followed. A similar look at the BBC also shows nothing about the 7/7 anniversary either. A look at GB News, which is normally good at stuff like remembrance of those killed or injured in terrorist atrocities have seemingly let this day go by without mention.

The media may want us to memory hole the 7/7 attacks and the political class, a group always unwilling to point out Islam’s violent streak, probably want us to do the same, but we should not. We should remember the 7/7 attacks, remember the carnage that was caused and remember also who and what created that carnage.

Today let us do what the political and media classes apparently are refusing to do which is to respectfully remember the dead of the 7/7 attack, pray for healing for those bereaved or wounded because of it and and never ever forget what and who caused this destruction or falsely believe that it could never happen again because it will and has.

It’s funny, isn’t it? The only mention of this was Twitter. Nothing in the mainstream media at all…

I noticed that as well. I also noticed that the Mayor of Greater London’s post on the matter came out at lunchtime rather than first thing in the morning. I wonder if Khan’s admin didn’t bother to mark the occasion until they were pushed to do so?
