Earlier today there was a knife man on the loose in London’s Golders Green which is an area with a significant Jewish community. Two people, both of them reported to be Jews, were stabbed. One video in circulation shows the attacker, alleged to be the person in the header picture, lunging with a knife at a random Jewish man. Both of the stab victims were taken to hospital with one said to be in a ‘critical condition’. If one of the reports that I’ve seen are to be believed, it was one of the volunteer Hatzolah ambulances that are run by the Jewish community in the area, that took the injured attacker to hospital.

The man was apparently apprehended by police and the Shomrim, the local Jewish neighbourhood watch organisation, but required some hefty kicks to the head from officers of the Metropolitan Police as well as the use of a Tazer in order to get this savage to let go of his weapon so that he could be disarmed.

From what I can gather from reading various sources reporting on and discussing this attack I think that we can safely say that the attacker is unlikely to be a deranged Leftist (although we can never be too sure) and is almost certainly not going to be a Methodist. Everything’s pointing to this stabber being of the Islamic persuasion in some way.

The numbers of attacks of this sort that are specifically aimed at Britain’s Jews is alarming to say the least. There has always been some degree of Jew hatred in the UK just as it is to be found in any society, but what we haven’t seen much of up until the last ten years or so is Islam inspired Jew hatred based attacks. There have been a slew of attacks against Jews over the last ten years that have involved Muslims attacking or intimidating Jews. Some of these physical attacks such as the attacks on Jews in Stamford Hill by a mentally ill Muslim drunkard and coke fiend have been nasty but lower level in their seriousness, but over time the number of attacks and the seriousness of these attacks has increased. As well as today’s horrific stabbing we’ve had the burning of the Hatzolah ambulances, the arson attack on Finchley Reform Synagogue, numerous incidents of street harassment of Jews, a Muslim waving a knife around, again in Golders Green and the murder of Jews at a synagogue in Manchester on Yom Kippur. This is just what we’ve had in one year and the problem shows no sign of lessening but only getting worse.

The response of the political classes has been woeful. For the most part the responses to the increasing number of Jew hatred based attacks, especially from the Left and Centre of politics has been a few worthless ‘thoughts and prayers’ type comments. Few politicians, with the odd exception such as Nick Timothy MP, have the balls to name the fuel that powers the vast majority of Jew hatred in Britain and that’s Islam. Of course not all Muslims are inveterate Jew haters but Islamic theology makes it easy for a Muslim to be a full on Jew hater because there’s a lot of baked in Jew hatred within Islam. Maybe it’s time for our political classes to start being honest about the specifically Islamic nature of much of the Jew hatred that is currently being expressed, often violently, by so many of the followers of Islam? What we have today is not the pseudo-intellectual or opportunistic Jew hatred that we saw with Sir Oswald Mosley and his British Union of Fascists, that flavour of Jew hatred is on life support in Britain and it survives mainly online and amongst a few neo-Nazi headbangers and is not the primary threat to Jews today. That sort of Jew hatred can’t put masses of Jew hating bodies on the street any more but the Jew hatred of the followers of Islam and their far Left useful idiots can.

Already we’ve had the pointless ‘thoughts and prayers’ type posts from the likes of the Prime Minister and Greater London Mayor Sadiq Khan. They are empty words said by people who are empty of anything apart from looking for political advantage. The Labour government will not go far enough in denouncing Islam derived Jew hatred and neither will Khan as both of them rely heavily on votes from Muslim communities. They will feign concern whilst they throw British Jews under the bus in order gain the electoral advantage of Britain’s Muslims.

I doubt that this attack will be the last one of this type that we see.
