Many Britons will by now be aware of an incident in Birmingham recently where a White man was assaulted in the street and as he picks himself up he was slammed into by a female cop. I’ve watched this video and it appears that the victim struck the copper who slammed into him before he recognised that the person who had slammed into him was a police officer.
This man has now been, unjustly in my view, charged with assault a Police Constable. The reason I believe it is unjust is this man has only just got up off the floor after being attacked and it is clear to me at least that the man didn’t comprehend that it was a police officer until after he’d hit her. Those who are saying that he should have understood that this was a police officer are those who I believe may never have been attacked in the street. When you are on the floor after a person is attacked it might take a moment to understand what happened. It certainly did with me when I was pushed over a petrol station wall near the Two Puddings in Stratford, East London many years ago.
Here’s the video:
Anyway, on the X platform there is an ex police officer who goes by the name of Donna Louise who has been inspired by the particularly poor behaviour of West Midlands Police in the case of the man who was attacked that she’s going to write in detail about her views on the two tier policing that we appear to be suffering from in the UK. She said:
“I spent 21 years in policing, much of it as a detective. I know what professional policing looks like – and this is not it. Watch this. West Midlands Police officers behaving like a gang. The swearing. The aggression. No control, no standards. I didn’t write about Henry Nowak because everyone else was. But I can’t stay silent any more. What I’m seeing week after week is a police service that treats you differently depending on who you are. I’m writing the full story of two-tier policing in Britain. This footage is where it starts.”
I’m making what Donna Louise has said my quote of the day because what she may end up writing about policing and how degraded it has become may well be worth reading once it has been completed.
What Donna Louise has said is a ‘watch this space’ post. I eagerly await what this person has to say.
