Regular readers of this blog may recall a story I published on a man named Alistair Hilton. Mr Hilton is a photographer from London who was harassed by the police over his criticisms of a Green Party councillor’s alleged involvement in the removal of long standing outdoor seating from pubs next to the River Thames. The police called him out from one of the pubs and tried to intimidate him into shutting up. If you have not come across this story before then I have linked to it at the bottom of this page.
Mr Hilton has again come to my attention because he witnessed an overt act of Jew hatred whilst outside a pub in London. An identifiable Muslim woman approached a passing Jewish family and made a gun sign with her hand to them. She then threatened each member of the Jewish family including the children with death. Mr Hilton and those around him were shocked and disgusted by the behaviour of this Muslim woman but initially Mr Hilton said that he wasn’t going to bother contacting the Metropolitan Police because of this force’s perceived bias against Jews and for Islam which made him doubt that the Metropolitan Police would bother investigating this incident.
Here’s the wording of Mr Hilton’s original post (links to sources at the end)
“Sitting outside a pub in Little Venice in London right now waiting to photograph an event near here this evening. An orthodox Jewish family walked past. A husband, his wife, their toddler and a baby in a pram. An Arab girl in her twenties just walked up to them and made a gun sign with her hand and said die. Then pointed the ‘gun’ at their each child and said die. She stood there threatening and laughing as she wished them dead. I told her to fuck off and she wandered away laughing. I’m angry at myself for not videoing her instead so you can see the depths of the vermin in this country, protected by the mayor, the police and the government. Photo of where I watched it. Truly awful.”
However Mr Hilton has re-evaluated his initial decision to not report this issue to the Metropolitan Police. In a later post on X he said:
“Good morning. I’ve had a think overnight about this and despite me thinking and saying that reporting anything to the Metropolitan Police is a complete waste of time, I believe that I have to report this, so am filling out the hate crime report on the Met’s website and will keep you posted what happens.
There are several reasons I’ve decided to report this:
1: The number of Muslims and their enablers who denied this ever happened and think I made it up. Well, I’ve posted actual photos and videos before and they still think I’ve made it up. But I want normal people to know that it was real.
2: When you watch programmes about the build up to the Second World War and you can’t comprehend how people allowed Jews to be rounded up and then sent to the gas chambers, if you sit around and say nothing now, well, you would have sat around and allowed it then, so don’t fool yourself that you wouldn’t.
3: I believe the government, the mayor of London and the police have enabled Muslims and Jew haters to commit their acts of hatred. We’ve had marches constantly for two plus years now supporting Palestinian terrorists and they’ve been allowed to chant death to Jews with immunity. So now they feel immune and what I witnessed yesterday is the result of that.
4: If I don’t do anything about this, then I am guilty of allowing Jews to suffer. So for these reasons I’m reporting the incident. I have zero to low hopes of any meaningful investigation by the police, but at least I’ll have done something.
Next time I witness similar, and I can’t help thinking there will be a next time, I shall intervene immediately. I’ll keep you posted of any response from the Metropolitan Police.”
Spot on there from Mr Hilton. Radical Muslims have indeed been emboldened to such an extent that they can express their hatreds for Jews, women, Christians, LGB’s etc etc in London. They’ve been emboldened by the State in the form of the London Mayor Sadiq Khan tacit acceptance and quiet support of the pro-Hamas hate marchers and the Metropolitan Police’s abject failure to deal with incitement to violence from these radical Muslims and their Leftist allies on these marches.
Mr Hilton is also correct in observing that mostly because of Islam derived Jew hatred we in Britain are now somewhere along the mid 20th century path of Jew hatred and is rightly drawing parallels between the non-Jews who did nothing then and the non-Jews who do nothing now in the face of Islamic Jew hatred.
Mr Hilton is also correct to have a high degree of cynicism about whether the Metropolitan Police will act on his complaint. Yes the Met acted swiftly when the Golders Green attack (allegedly an Islam connected attack) occurred but there are plenty of accounts of how the Met plays down attacks on Jews whilst wringing their hands over incidents where there has been pushback, even verbal pushback, against Islam. However despite the cynicism that Mr Hilton has for the Met (and in my view his cynicism is fully justified) I do agree that he’s right to put in this report. The report will most likely be ignored by the Met but making the complaint itself is a statement of dissatisfaction with the bad situation which the Met has allowed to grow.
Like Mr Hilton I await the response of the Metropolitan Police. I suspect that this response from the Met will be, as is alarmingly usual, unsatisfactory.
