Despite being broadly a monarchist on the grounds that it might be better than some alternatives there are some stories about Britain’s ruling family that bring out my inner Oliver Cromwell.

One of these is, of course, the allegedly sleazy and quite frankly twattish behaviour over many years of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew the Duke of York, the other is the shenanigans surrounding Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

It appears from news reports that Harry and Meghan are returning to Britain. There might be various reasons for this such as running out of money and friends in the USA and the realisation among their former supporters that this pair are talentless in the extreme. Other gossip pertains to whether Harry is trying to ingratiate himself with his father the King at a time when His Majesty’s health has been none too good and that Harry and Meghan are leaving the USA before Harry is expelled for admitting that he’d used drugs in the past.

Harry and Meghan’s return to Britain is not going to be popular with the public especially after Harry has spent a lot of time outside of Britain slagging off the country, his family and much else besides. Harry is also staring down the barrel of a massive legal bill for a case that he and others brought and lost and he might be hoping that by ingratiating himself back into the Royal Family he might be helped with said costs.

The return of Harry and Meghan is not what Britons need at the moment. As if we didn’t have enough problems without this pair of talentless ungrateful migrants dumping themselves on the UK and on the Royal Family. The King doesn’t need the problems and negative publicity that the Harry and Meghan show will bring and neither do the rest of us.

This pair are utterly talentless and shallow and have even allegedly been dumped by those paragons of vacuity the Kardashians. Any goodwill that the British public had for them has long since dissipated primarily because of the actions of Harry and Meghan.

I predict that Harry and Meghan are going to become a costly sideshow that might hurt the King and maybe the Monarchy itself. It’s a shame that we no longer have many far distant colonies that Harry and Meghan could be exiled to as Governor and Governess where they could do less harm and shut up.

If the Royal Family rehabilitate Harry and Meghan without any sort of contrition about their actions and words from this pair then I’m afraid that my inner Cromwell might start speaking with a much louder voice.
