One of the downsides of having your healthcare system run along the lines of telecommunications systems in the Britain of the 1970’s or a bread shop in the old Soviet Union is that it becomes very very easy for your healthcare system to become dominated by ideology. We’ve seen this before in Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) with the Cult of Trans being elevated in the NHS by management to such an extent that female medical staff were forced to change into their uniforms alongside ‘chicks with dicks’. The capture of the NHS by the votaries of the Trans cult also exposed patients to the horrific and dangerous practise of putting men posing as women into female hospital wards.

Now, according to Angus Dalgleish writing in The Critic magazine, we now have the cult of Net Zero also being incorporated into NHS policies and also endangering patients. Mr Dalgleish has said that this issue was highlighted during the recent heatwaves. The Net Zero obsession with not allowing air conditioning has not only made life unpleasant for patients on hospital wards but also has caused the spoilage of biological samples that were stored in rooms that were ‘naturally ventilated’. Mr Dalgleish said that the effect of heat on these poorly stored samples led to both false positives and false negatives when these samples were tested. The cost of redoing these tests that were spoiled is likely to have involved great extra cost to the NHS and also inconvenience and maybe discomfort for patients.

The problem is as the author states is that obeying the green cult’s conditions re Net Zero in the NHS is now baked into contracts that the NHS enters into with suppliers. There’s no way out of these rules because they have been centrally imposed by diktat and they have to be followed no matter how useless they are or how many extra costs or dangers to patients that they create.

What an incompetent, ideology infested mess the NHS has become. We deserve far better than the NHS dishes out to Britons we really do.
