As regular readers of the particular strand on this blog you may be well aware that Pakistan is not a safe place for either heterodox Muslims nor members of other religious minorities.

A campaigner for increased rights for Pakistani Christians has put this up on the X platform.

This sort of thing is sadly all too common in Pakistan. Girls from religious minority families are kidnapped, forcibly converted to Islam and then forcibly married off often to an older man.

This is not aberrant behaviour from Pakistanis, in some parts of the country it’s totally normal to do this. It’s normal for the shithole that is Pakistan.
