Police Scotland, What do they consider as ‘offensive’? Let me count the ways.

Please be aware that we will continue to monitor comments on social media & any offensive comments will be investigated.

The Tweet captured above came from Police Scotland who seem far more concerned about being seen to be politically correct than actually supplying an efficient policing system for Scotland. Their eagerness to monitor and prosecute those who Police Scotland consider to be ‘offensive’ makes me wonder if they have a list of what they consider to be offensive and what may be on it. Obviously it is unlikely that Police Scotland would release a breakdown on what they consider to be ‘offensive’ to a lowly blogger like me, so here is an attempt to guess what may be on that list of things that Police Scotland may consider ‘offensive’ and therefore worthy of investigation or threat of arrest.

  1. Any criticism of NHS Scotland.

  2. Telling people that Scotland is not a socialist paradise.

  3. Criticism of the ‘Religion of Peace’, especially when the followers of said ‘religion of peace’ have just beheaded, stabbed, shot or run down a British citizen.

  4. Calling the Chief Constable of Police Scotland a cowardly politically correct nutter.

  5. Criticising Britain’s immigration management system.

  6. Not being a paid-up supporter of either the Socialist Workers Party or Unite Against Fascism.

  7. Speculation about the identity of the bin lorry driver in the Glasgow crash.

  8. Asking questions about how Police Scotland have dealt with allegations of electoral fraud in Glasgow during the Scottish Referendum.

  9. Wanting to lay flowers at the site where a young man was murdered by Muslims.

  10. Saying Lenny Henry is just not funny anymore.

  11. Saying that eating deep fried confectionery is unhealthy.

  12. Objecting to English, Welsh and Ulster taxpayers subsidising Scottish socialist policies.

  13. Visitors to Scotland having a St George’s flag on their car.

  14. Using unkind slang, rhyming or otherwise to describe Scots as ‘Sweaties’, or ‘Jocks’.

  15. Asking how deep have Islamic extremists penetrated the Scottish National Party?

  16. Laughing at Alex Salmond or Nichola Stergeon.

  17. Any criticism of Police Scotland.

  18. Referring to fat people as ‘fat’.

  19. Publicly wondering just who may have taken a bung to build a mosque in East Renfrewshire.

  20. Retweeting Katie Hopkins.

  21. Being Katie Hopkins.

  22. Being horrified at the intrusive nanny state that is being constructed north of the border.

  23. Noting how a fall in the Brent Crude Oil price to £37 per barrel has made mincemeat of the claims by the SNP that an independent Scotland could become a wealthy petro-state.

  24. Not using the phrase ‘envy of the world’ to describe the NHS.

  25. Querying NHS Scotland’s Ebola policies.

  26. Wondering just how many Islamic Rape Gangs may be operating in Scotland.

  27. Not toeing the Left wing party line in all ways and in all aspects.

Sadly I’m sure that other readers could find other examples of ‘head up backside’ thinking from the arrogant uniformed goons that Police Scotland appear to have become.

Police Scotland have really and truly overstepped the mark, both with their heavy-handed attempt to police social media and their targeting of Katie Hopkins. Police Scotland have ceased to be citizens in uniform who enforce the law impartially with the consent and cooperation of the public, and have become yet another bullying arm of the far Left politically correct state.

With the threat to arrest not just Katie Hopkins but others who speak their mind on various issues, it seems that Police Scotland have finally decided that they can consign Sir Robert Peel’s ‘Principles of Policing‘ to the dustbin of history. If you wanted to find a classic example of arrogant numpty-ness then the actions of Police Scotland would surely fit the bill.

For the record, I have never had a problem with either the Scots people or Scotland, I’ve visited there, traded there and admired the achievements of Scots. It is right to recognise the great contribution that the Scots have made to both the Union and the world, in diverse areas that encompass scientific discovery, art and commerce. I also bow my head in reverence and remembrance when I think of all the Scottish troops who fought for Britain and its Empire, and the many Scots who served in the armed forces and who are buried in little visited graves across the world. However, I do object to the sort of intrusive socialist scummery of which Police Scotland is just one example.

Scotland under socialist rule is starting to become a worldwide laughing stock and Police Scotland seem to be assisting that process. It appears to be rapidly transmogrifying itself from a society of learning, enquiry, achievement and culture into a sort of Northern hemisphere simulacrum of Venezuela, and that is a fate that I would not wish on my worst enemy, let alone my friends the Scots. The Scottish people deserve better than those who currently rule them and those who police them.

I’d like to end this piece by speaking some words of truth that Police Scotland may not wish to hear, and that is ‘offence’ and ‘being offended’ are emotions that a person feels, and that such subjective emotions and hurt feelings should never be considered as a crime. If we go down the route of listening to whichever person or group of persons shouts the loudest about being ‘offended’ and arresting those who have given offence, then we will have not a free society but instead will have a dictatorship.

Article from the Independent newspaper about how chilling it is that Police Scotland and indeed other British police forces, are targeting for arrest not those who are committing crimes, but those who have opinions that the political Left does not like.

    Not only in Scotland.
The police in the UK(?)are a politicized arm
    of the government.
Shout “shit,” and the chief constables jump
    on the establishment shovel.
Most of them are fast tracked shoe-in placemen/women.

  2. this is clearly a uniformed atack to stifle free speech and democracy.
at least the uaf and swp will clearly benefit from the lefg wing police bias.
    absolutely shameful.
i suspect this will be integrated into all uk police divisions(at a cost to the taxpayer)while real crime will flourish because of the lack of resourses.
