The overuse of the word ‘racist’

The word ‘racist’ has been used by the Left and their equally twisted alliesso many times and often so inappropriately that it is starting to lose its power and its meaning. Many people, including myself, used to be horrified to be called ‘racist’ without reason . This is because it’s really not nice to be thought of as someone who judges someone by the colour of their skin and not the content of their character is it? Now when someone calls me a ‘racist’ I think, so what? Now the word ‘racist’ says more about the person who is using it than the person whom it is aimed at.

‘Racist’ was once a useful word and a powerful one but has lost a lot of power due to its overuse. Just as swear words shock when you first hear them, after a while, if they are used too frequently, become meaningless conversational punctuations.

The overuse and degradation of the word ‘racist’ is a bad thing. There are some occasions when this word is justified and may accurately describe a person or an action. Now however it’s become almost meaningless. It’s become just a mouth-noise emitted by Lefties and by the followers of Islam to either try to shut up a conversation that ain’t going their way, or to smear someone.

The word ‘racist’ has been robbed of its power by being used to describe things that are not really racist and maybe it’s time to find another word to describe things and people that actually are ‘racist’? I’ve started to use the word ‘racialist’ to describe those people and ideologies that believe that their race is best. It’s far more descriptive a term and was once the word of choice to describe people who really were in the real sense of the word ‘racist’.

There will always be people who will hate people on the basis of things that a person cannot change, such as skin colour. I cannot forgive the Left for misusing the word ‘racist’ so much that for at least 80% of the time that it is used means absolutely bugger all.

The word ‘racist’ is dead, long live the word ‘racialist’.

If it’s such a terrible thing for a person to be, to be a “racist”, then it should be serious, actionable defamation when they are referred to it as being a “racist”. It needs only ONE precedent set up and to be a successful prosecution for the entire future of the accusation to be a minefield for the Left!

Interesting point. Unfortunately it would take someone with sufficient income to bring such a charge as the legal fees would be quite high.

The legal fees would have been (as much as they can be, and as high as they can be cranked) already donated into place in a huge fund engineered towards the legal costs end, first. Somebody, somewhere, has to recognise that it is ILLEGAL to call somebody “racist” in writing, film or on the streets of Britain, and elsewhere. I think it can be done, but it would also mean the spending of a lot of money on the achievement of something comparatively small.
