Are Tell Mama exploiting tragedies, lying or obfuscating again?

We have become very used to the lavishly publicly funded ‘Islamophobia’ monitors Tell Mama either exaggerating alleged ‘anti Muslim activity’ or being downright dishonest about such things and claiming attacks that have not actually occurred. This questionable group has had a long history of doing whatever it takes to convince people and especially our governing authorities that there is a ‘massive’ amount of ‘Islamophobia’ happening in the UK and have relentlessly pushed an often false Islamic ‘victim’ narrative in order to do so. Because of their actions that range from lying about the number of ‘Islamophobic’ attacks following the Islamic murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby in 2013, through to hawking a mentally ill transsexual around various police and government representatives, Tell Mama have made themselves a byword for shiftyness, dishonesty and spin.

Now it seems they may be calling out ‘hate crime’ when it may not be the case. There was a particularly nasty stabbing that took place in Cheshire where the victim Dr Nasser Kurdy, was a Muslim surgeon who had helped the victims of the Manchester Islamic attack back in May 2017. The stabbing that occurred on Sunday the 24th of September was completely unnecessary and should be heavily condemned by all decent people. It matters not whether the victim of an attack is black, white, religious or not religious, this was an attack on an innocent man and one that cannot in any way be condoned.

However, there are aspects to this case and the way that Tell Mama have reported it that gives cause for concern and which suggest that Tell Mama may have called out ‘hate crime’ when this may not be the case. What bothers me about this case is that Tell Mama are trying to push the ‘hate crime’ narrative with regards this incident when it might be nothing of the sort. Tell Mama are calling this a ‘hate crime’ when the person who has been arrested and charged for this offence has not at this stage been charged with any offence that could indicate that this attack was of a racial or religious nature. The person who has been arrested, Ian Anthony Rook, 28, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the following offences: Grievous Bodily Harm contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and possession of an offensive weapon. You will note that there is no indication that the police are seeing at this stage an obvious anti Muslim religious motive to the attack as they have not as far as I can see at this point flagged this aspect up to the Crown Prosecution Service. It’s notable that this point the police have charged the man with a general crime of violence and not with a specifically racial or religious one and one would expect that if a racial or religious motive was readily discernible to the police then they would have used a racial or religious motivation charge from the outset.

It is of course entirely possible that additional ‘hate crime’ charges may be laid at Mr Rook at the insistence of Britain’s very politically biased Crown prosecutors at a later date. After all the CPS have in recent years become virtual ‘witch finders’ when it comes to alleged ‘hate crime’ and it’s likely that a CPS lawyer could later ‘perceive’ that there is a racial or religious aspect to this crime and the indictment would be amended accordingly.

But what we are dealing with here are the facts as they are at present. Despite the alleged offender not being at this moment being charged with a ‘hate crime’, Tell Mama are treating this as such. For example in a Tweet dated 25th September 2017 in an article about how the victim is expressing forgiveness for his attacker, Tell Mama distinctly called this a ‘hate crime’ even though the media report they were quoting from was more circumspect and used the phrase ‘suspected hate crime’.

We’ve all ‘jumped the gun’ on occasion when it comes to news reports and have found out later that our first impressions may have been partially or completely incorrect but this rush to categorise every attack on a Muslim as being a ‘hate crime’ is characteristic of the mendacious grievance mongering taqiyya artists of Tell Mama. You would think wouldn’t you that with Tell Mama’s extensive and worryingly deep contacts with Britain’s police and prosecuting authorities that Tell Mama would be more careful with what cases they describe as ‘hate crime’ and which they do not?

I cannot comment in too much depth about this particular case as it is currently in progress and therefore subject to sub judice reporting and comment restrictions but you would assume that if this was as obvious a ‘hate crime’ as Tell Mama say it is that this would be reflected in the initial charges? The reality is that at this stage the case is being dealt with in a similar manner to how someone smashing a glass in someone’s face in a pub or a particularly violent domestic attack would be handled. It’s not being handled from the starting gate as if this was a pre-planned attack on a member of a minority group where the victim was chosen because they were a member of a minority group.

Of course we will have to wait until the Crown Court trial to find out more about the motivations of the alleged offender and any defence that the defendant will produce for the Jury. At this stage there isn’t even any indication of what sort of plea that might be entered. This could be an attack aimed at a Muslim man primarily because they are Muslim, or it might merely be the work of a violent fraggle and the Muslim victim was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even Greater Manchester Police have stated that this was not a ‘racial or religious’ attack yet Tell Mama seen rather too keen to classify this attack as such.

Tell Mama are often very quick, too quick in some cases, to scream ‘hate crime’ when either the offence is nothing of the sort or the person making the allegation is a liar. Tell Mama didn’t even remove from their site a proven false ‘hate crime’ case despite a court fining the alleged victim for wasting police time. It was only after an internet campaign that Tell Mama deigned to remove the falsehood from their site.

It is to be suspected that Tell Mama have jumped on this case because it ticks some of their ideological boxes with a stabbing, a high profile Muslim victim for them to shroud-wave about.

Tell Mama are also using this case to attack anti-mosque campaigners in the Altrincham area where Sunday’s stabbing occurred. Residents in the Altrincham area have been fighting the imposition of a huge mosque-strosity on greenbelt land that some believe is inappropriate for the area and will bring increased traffic and pose security issues.

Tell Mama appeared to take great delight in reposting a communication from someone who described the anti mosque campaigners as a ‘hate group’ and appear by doing so to be trying to link anti mosque campaigners to this horrible stabbing. I’m not surprised really Tell Mama have a long and undistinguished reputation for never let a tragedy go to waste if it can be used to promote the Islamic victim hood narrative.

Tell Mama have also run a long piece attacking those who don’t want this giant mosque and all the problems that are likely to come with it, imposed on their area. Tell Mama took issue with the phrase ‘security concerns’ that the anti mosque campaigners used and said that it was a ‘dog whistle’ appeal to those who ‘fear’ Muslims.

Tell Mama said:

‘…..the objections raised may well be legitimate concerns, however, one statement in the leaflet raises eyebrows and should make us all uncomfortable in the way that it frames mosques. The final point in the leaflet states:

The centre will be open every day through the year, from very early in the morning to late at night. Apart from a security hazard, there is a propensity for both light and noise pollution.”

The use of the term ‘security hazard’ is bizarre and attempts to play on fears about Muslims and mosques and should be challenged. There seems to be a Facebook page entitled ‘Atrincham Today’ and we would urge members of the public to make clear that such language and dog-whistle language is unacceptable. We would also urge local councillors on the relevant planning committee to raise questions with campaigners as to the choice of their words.

Why should raising the issue of ‘security concerns’ when it comes to mosques give a cause for concern? Some mosques have become centres of Islamic hate preaching and sedition and what has been described by the Daily Caller as ‘weapons of war’ have been found near an extremist mosque in Germany. It is perfectly legitimate in the light of this knowledge to be concerned about security concerns about mosques. After all when was the last time that your local church or synagogue or Sikh temple was found with ‘weapons of war’ nearby and which could be connected to the religious entity? The answer to this question is hardly ever. Also when was the last time that we heard of anybody other than Muslims chopping off the heads of innocents or calling for the deaths and enslavement of those outside of that faith? Again the answer is hardly ever. The truth of the matter is that we in the non Muslim world have an incredible amount to fear about an ideology that calls for our deaths and has been implicated in well over 30,000 terror attacks since 9/11. Contrary to Tell Mama’s opinion, concerns about security for non Muslims where mosques are planned are quite justified.

Tell Mama are mercilessly and dishonestly exploiting this horrible and senseless stabbing of a decent man and using it to smear those who have genuine and well founded fears about what an Islamic centre for sedition aka a mosque may do to their areas. They have exploited vulnerable individuals and terrorist tragedies before in order to push their dishonest ‘Islamophobia’ narrative and it looks like that they are doing this again with this stabbing of a surgeon outside Altrincham Muslim Association. It is bad enough that Tell Mama lie and smear and obfuscate more often than a ‘lady of the night’ removes her knickers, but it is even worse that they are doing this dishonest grievance mongering on massive amounts of taxpayer cash, cash that could be far better spent on things that are far more worthwhile than this bunch of dodgy ‘Islamophobia’ whiners. Maybe there is a need in a democratic and free society to monitor attacks on people where it is proven to be the case that they were attacked on the grounds of their race or some other factor, but Tell Mama are too badly tarnished by their own poor actions and dodgy history to be tasked with this job.

I would like to conclude by wishing the surgeon who was injured in this attack, Dr Nasser Kurdy a speedy recovery and I hope that justice, true justice, not the politically correct simulacrum of justice favoured by some on the Islam appeasing Left, prevails in this case.
