It’s not often good news comes out of the London Borough of Newham…..

……But the decision by a court to order the demolition of an illegal mega mosque is one rare bit of good news from this dangerous and highly Islam-infested part of London. For many years an extremist and highly separatist Islamic group Tablighi Jamaat had squatted land at Abbey Mills in Newham and had illegally put up buildings which they were using as a mosque. Tablighi Jamaat had initially wanted to build a 9000 capacity megamosque which would have been bigger than any religious building in Britain, bigger even than St Paul’s Cathedral. This plan was refused and the Muslims submitted another plan this time for a 2.5k capacity building which was also refused.

Tablighi Jamaat have played a long ‘lawfare’ game against both Newham Council and the planning agencies with the mosque-e-teers bringing court case after court case, but they have finally been trounced at the High Court.

Here’s how Britain’s left wing Guardian newspaper has reported the final refusal of permission or a mosque that both local Christians and more moderate Muslims really did not want.

The Guardian said:

A temporary east London mosque that has been refused planning permission faces demolition after a high court ruling.

The Islamic missionary movement Tablighi Jamaat had sought permission to build a permanent mosque on a 17-acre site near the Olympic Park in Stratford. Its plans to provide a place of worship for around 9,000 people were opposed by Newham council in 2012.

Tablighi Jamaat appealed to what is now the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, which rejected the proposal in October 2015. At the time, the movement was also ordered to cease using existing buildings on the site as a mosque.

The ministry said its decision was based on “concerns that include local housing provision and conflict with the council’s local plan for the borough”.

There was also considerable opposition from residents. In 2007, more than 250,000 people signed an online petition opposing the plans for the mosque. Organisers claimed to represent “the Christian population of this great country England” and said the mosque would “cause terrible violence and suffering”.

Since the 2015 decision, the organisation has operated a temporary mosque with a capacity of 2,500 on the site. It went to the high court seeking to overturn a demolition order.

However, the court ruled in the council’s favour and ordered the mosque’s owners to pay more than £22,000 in costs to the council. The organisation has until 16 February to take the case to the court of appeal.

Tablighi Jamaat bought the site, a chemical works decommissioned 30 years ago, in 1995 for £1.6m.

I find it absolutely astonishing that this bunch of Islamic shysters were allowed to take the piss out of the planning system for 23 years before the High Court finally confirmed that it was correct to issue a demolition order against this particular mosque-strosity. If it was you or I who had contravened the planning regulations in some minor way or built a house extension without planning permission you could bet your bottom dollar that the authorities would be on our doorsteps in double quick time with a bulldozer and large men with hammers. These Muslims and extremist ones at that, have been allowed to get away with too much for far too long.

I welcome wholeheartedly the High Court decision to bulldoze this unwanted and dangerous mega mosque and will cheer and raise a glass of something strongly alcoholic when this particular Islamic excrescence is razed to the ground. There is only one way that this news about the impending destruction of this nest of savagery could be better and that is if those local people who have fought long and hard and often against serious Muslim intimidation, in order to get this project stopped were the ones who pressed the button to start the demolition of this mosque. It’s a great shame that the demolition of this unwanted mosque is not followed by the demolition of all the other mosques that have sprung up sometimes without planning permission or where planning permission has been granted in murky circumstances. Goodbye Tablighi Jamaat, you’ve been told to sod off so now go, where I do not care that much, just as long as it is nowhere near the Abbey Mills site, definitely nowhere near me and my family and preferably to some overseas Islamic shithole.
