The increasing boldness of Belgium’s Islamic Jew haters

The story below is one that not only makes me angry and worried about the sort of future in store for my son, but is also a story that should be rubbed in the noses of every left wing Rabbi and Jewish communal figure who is still, stupidly in my view and of many other Jews of the political Right, supporting the ‘refugees welcome’ movement. It illustrates quite clearly the total folly of the policies towards this ‘refugees welcome’ idea that the, numerically small, noisy but communally influential Jewish Left has been engaged in. It is a monstrous mistake to believe that the import of individuals from Islamic cultures that are steeped in Jew-hatred could end in any other way than badly for everyone but especially Europe’s Jews. It was extremely naive for both the Jewish Left and the broader Left to assume that this policy would end well. It is all but impossible for many of those from cultures where Islam-inspired Jew-hatred is normal, would suddenly abandon their hatreds and magically become ‘European’ overnight.

The future for Europe’s Jews looks pretty grim from where I’m sitting. In the UK the spectre of a Corbyn Labour Party win in a General Election and the potential support of Islamist causes by Corbyn, hangs over Britain’s 263,346 Jews. In Berlin and in other areas of Germany that have been ‘enriched’ by Islam, it is now unsafe to be identifiably Jewish in a Berlin street, in a mocking echo of the situation for Jews in Germany’s past. I don’t know what possessed the German’s second worst Chancellor since 1871 to think that she could atone for Germany’s past by importing hundreds of thousands of people from Jew hating nations and cultures. As for France, well, this nation is in deep trouble. It’s beset by Islamic extremism that the government cannot completely control or interdict. The worsening situation there with regards security and violent attacks on Jews by Muslims is driving an exodus of Jews to places like Israel and London where there are already communities of French speaking Jews who fled France earlier.

Belgium has been particularly badly hit by Islam and the almost inevitable accompaniment of this ideology, Islamic aggression and Jihad. Parts of Belgium are so heavily dominated by Islam that they are now unrecognisable as Belgian or even European cities and these areas provide a great deal of material and human support for violent jihad both in Belgium and beyond.

But now onto today’s story which as the title says, comes from Belgium. According to a report in Israel National News, a conservative leaning Israeli news outfit (h/t ROP), a knife jihad attack on a synagogue in Antwerp during a service for the festival of Shavuot was foiled by volunteer security guards. Israel National News (INN) said that an Iraqi who pretended to be Jewish by wearing a Kippah on his head approached the Van De Nest synagogue in Antwerp pushing a bike and carrying a bag. The Shimra, the volunteer synagogue guards and the equivalent of Britain’s Community Security Trust and Shomrim groups, were quite rightly suspicious about this man and questioned him. They looked into his bag and found him to be carrying three knives, one big knife and two smaller ones.

This is as INN said, not the only incident of Muslims or those presumed to be Muslims causing trouble for Belgium’s Jews. There have been cases of Muslims wandering around Antwerp issuing verbal threats to Jews in the street. It seems to be a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly and worryingly common in that nation.

Stories of imported Islamic Jew-hatred should, in my view, become required reading for the ‘progressive’ Rabbonim who have promoted the ludicrous and dangerous ‘refugees welcome’ policy. However I sadly suspect that some of the communal leaders who have promoted this nonsense are so politically bent that they will dismiss criticisms of a policy that was doomed to fail and to fail in such a spectacular and dangerous manner. Such people are not to my mind representative of Jews as a whole (they certainly don’t represent me or those like me) and are sometimes little more than secular Leftists wearing Kippot. There is nothing good that can come from importing a large number of people from cultures which tell its members that hating and killing Jews is a form of religious sacrament. It’s time we woke up to the disagreeable but now obvious fact that this ‘refugees welcome’ policy is killing us and killing our nations.

  1. “Turkeys voting for Christmas” may be a cliché, but it’s perfectly appropriate in this case. Despite the happenings some eighty years ago, the Western European establishment seems at ease with not just anti-semitism, but also Islamopandering. Why, though?
