Day Five in the Big Savage House – Ramadan death toll edges towards 100

We keep getting told by our politicians and by our mainstream media that ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ and whilst I accept that there are individual Muslims who are of a peaceful nature, the same cannot be said for the ideology of Islam itself. Islam is different in so far as no other major world religion has such a high death toll caused by religiously inspired violence during a primary religious festival as Islam has at Ramadan.

We don’t get Christians using their religion as a motivator for violence at Christmas and neither do we see Jews using Passover for the same purpose. It is only with Islam at Ramadan that we see so many religiously inspired attacks and murders.

We are now in Day Five of the 28 day festival of Ramadan and already the piles of bodies of those murdered in Islamic terror attacks and other violence continues to rise. According to the Religion of Peace website that monitors Islamic terrorism, so far this Ramadan 95 people have been killed in various Islamic terror attacks across the world.

Islam, as an ideology, is not a religion of peace, it is a religion that has been steeped in violence and justifications for violence since its inception. We can see Islam’s violent heart on full display when there is more religiousity such as during major Islamic festivals for example Ramadan.

  1. Indeed, I wonder if the current pandemic is a reason for the slower start that an old cynic like me was expecting? Even Izal and Alka Aida have issued “Health & Safety Guidelines” (how would H&S apply to suicide bombers anyway?) for their adherents.

Well it was about 900 last year and that was down because ISIS had less opportunities to kill people in my view. It will be interesting to see if WuFlu has any impact, up or down, when compared to last year on the ‘religion of peace’s’ death toll?
