From Elsewhere: The Tyrant of Bute House

Nichola Sturgeon the First Minister of Scotland has become the Tyrant of Bute House

I don’t normally write or comment on articles concerning Scottish politics except, as in the case of the proposed Scottish ‘hate crime’ bill, it concerns an issue such as freedom of speech or the ‘refugees welcome’ nonsense, that I’m interested in. In general Scottish internal politics isn’t something that is relevant to me. I’m aware of course that Scotland is run by some truly appalling Leftists in the form of the Scottish National Party and see what is happening in Scotland as a cautionary tale on what happens when the far Left take over the administration of a small nation or region.

But I’ve recently read an article that I found linked from the Guido Fawkes site by Robin McAlpine writing for Source News that virtually begged to be shared. In the article Mr McAlpine powerfully and quite correctly from what I can see, put the boot into how Scotland is administered by the SNP. In short he says that nearly everything in Scotland’s politics, apart from the people and voters themselves, has been corrupted. He said that there is the illusion of Cabinet Government and it is an allusion to how what the leader, Nichola Sturgeon wants, Nichola Sturgeon gets, with no oversight and no checks and balances. Mr McAlpine said that Scotland has a ‘presidential’ system but without the mechanisms to stop a president from becoming a tyrant such as exists in the US Constitution.

These revelations by Mr McAlpine are truly appalling and make me feel terribly sorry for the ordinary Scot who has to live with and be ruled by such politicians. Despite Scotland having a Parliament, a Cabinet and an supposedly independent civil service, who really rules Scotland is Nichola Sturgeon, a woman whom I cannot help referring to as The Tyrant of Bute House.

The litany of criticisms of how Scotland is governed from Mr McAlpine is enormous. They range from the debacle of the estimated school exam results that appears to have seen young people from working class areas of Scotland down graded for wholly political reasons right through to an SNP political class which depends on favour from the First Minister for any chance of advancement.

If even a fraction of what Mr McAlpine has said about Scottish politics is correct then it’s plain to see that Scottish politics is a hot mess of corruption, incompetence and tyranny. The Scots deserve better politics than they are getting.

  1. “I’m aware, of course, that Scotland is run by some truly appalling Leftists…”

ERROR; it should read “I’m aware of THE CURSE that Scotland is run by some truly appalling Leftists….”
