The political commentator Peter North has been having a quite eloquent dig at former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about how far Mr Sunak embraced British values and identity. Mr North used Mr Sunak’s failure to give his all at D Day commemoration ceremonies as indication that he had not completely embraced the British identity. I’m not sure that I agree with all of what Mr North said about Mr Sunak but the walking away early from the beaches of Normandy just so he could do a TV interview spot did look extremely bad.
However what caught my eye in Mr North’s piece was this:
“I have to start with the claim that “we’ve built the world’s most successful multi-faith, multi-ethnic democracy”. This is the same week in which an Islamist Member of Parliament has called for military action against Israel, and we have a growing problem with bloc voting and violent sectarianism. If that is a “successful multi-faith, multi-ethnic democracy”, I’d hate to see what an unsuccessful one looks like.”
Mr North has a point here. We have so many problems with violent sectarianism and bent bloc voting that it’s a good indication that multiculturalism hasn’t been the unalloyed success that the likes of Rishi Sunak might think it is. It’s quite possible to have a multi-racial democracy that works provided that all races pull in the same national direction but I don’t think that it’s possible to do the same with a multiculturalist society as each group will primarily vote for their community’s own interests. As Mr North said, if Britain is an example of a successful multicultural society, with all its problems then how much more awful would failure look like? If you Balkanise a nation then it’s unsurprising if you get Balkan style communal politics.

A “multi-cultural society” is, by definition an oxymoron. It simply cannot exist.
A polyethnic and multi-racial once certainly can, but, as you implied, “all races[must] pull in the same national direction” in order to have a society.
With multiple cultures which, by definition, do not so pull, then you do not have A society, you have a series of parallel ones, with all the problems that entail.
Welcome to the deliberately created Balkanized Britain. And soon to be carved up and dismantled by the Marxist King’o’the-North’s “devolution of democracy” and his virtually autonomous Commissars and Gauleiters posing as “mayors” in the Sovietization of the once UK, and that’s before the parasitic “regional assemblies and tin-pot “parliaments” in Scotland. Wales and Northern Ireland start sabre rattling.
I predict dangerous times and it’s all part of finishing Tony Blair’s deliberately engineered stealth revolution and the Left’s destruction of the country they actually hate, particularly trying to rewrite and erase our history. Softly spoken besuited revolutioniaries using weasel words and deliberately misleading and ambiguous policies to achieve their Sims, not with guns, but with propaganda, electoral bribes and importing unassimilable invaders to dilute and subvert our cities and institutions. I haven’t been proven wrong yet.
Blair’s deliberately misleadingly named caveat-ridden so-called Human Rights Act that actually removed or at best qualified them, was the Enabling Act that allowed the Fabian junta to take root at every level and that the stupid complacent Tories failed to identify and repeal, either deliberately or by blundering omission.
