A brilliant parody worth reading – Woke Rabbi

As a non-Orthodox Jew I’ve met a great many Rabbonim from the various Jewish movements that exist outside of Orthodoxy. A lot of these Rabbonim have been sound and sensible individuals, but some have been so open minded that their brains have fallen out and been lost somewhere along the way and in some cases they’ve even tried to replace the Torah with Das Kapital. How left wing are these Rabbonim who have all but abandoned Judaism for the cult of ‘Social Justice’? Well to give you an idea how bad it can get, I once went to a service where the Rabbi was so Left wing I half expected him to step down from the Bimah and start selling copies of Socialist Worker to the congregation.

Thankfully, in Britain at least, the number of these far left Rabbonim is quite small and in any case in the UK there are more Orthodox Jews than there are those who would call themselves Progressives, which I believe helps to keep the lid on the far Left lunatics in the non-Orthodox movements. Unfortunately for American non-Orthodox Jews, Jews who may have no issue with for example women being Rabbis or reinterpreting Torah in the light of later knowledge, the situation is far worse than it is in the UK. Over there nearly all of the non-Orthodox Jewish movements have been captured by the far Left much to the chagrin of those Jews in these movements who do not subscribe to the crazy ideologies of the far Left.

Some of the Rabbonim in the USA are so far Left that someone has decided to parody them over at Twitter. This Twitter feed has not been updated for a while but that doesn’t mean that it is not hilariously funny. I was reading it last night and let’s just say that I laughed so much that my coffee ended up all over the keyboard. The parody, called ‘Woke Rabbi’ is based on a middle class Jewish person who even though they are a Rabbi has virtually zero knowledge of Judaism and is obsessed with pushing their Leftist, anti-Israel and gloriously stupid ecumenism on anyone and everyone they can find. They also don’t believe that Jews should have left the shtetls of Europe as there were, in their view no Pogroms there. Below are a few examples from the thread which can be found via this link: https://twitter.com/WokeRabbi

Speaking as a forward-thinking, centre-Left, Left-leaning, unorthodox Jewish centre-forward – (I’m so unorthodox, I’m not even Jewish !) – Woke Rabbi is a constant source of inspiration to me as I strive for self-forgiveness following the duplicitous 1942 “false-flag” attack on Poole Harbour, in which the true identity of the assailants was undoubtedly revealed by their Nippo-Nazarean battle-cry of “Torah! Torah! Torah!

My invitation to explore this theme unfortunately failed to arrive from the White House in time for my non-scheduled appearance at the Memorial Day service, but I know that my sentiments are warmly endorsed by such stalwart champions of liberty and ecumenical understanding as US President Joe Bagel, Vice-President Kamala Hamas, Ilhan Omar Sharif, AO Red C, Rashida Taliban, Jeremy Communist, John McDonnell-Douglas, Nazi Shah, Owen Jonah, and the celebrated Oxford Professor of Applied Penetration, Tariq Ramadan-a-Ding-Dong.
