It looks like more empty words from the UK government.

The current Tory government is pretty good with words. They are, sadly, less good when it comes to putting those words into action. They’ve spoken a lot of the right seeming words and made the correct noises about things like immigration, the Channel invader crisis, free speech, energy security and the need for reform in the public sector. Unfortunately what we’ve had from this government is just that, words. There has been no proper action against levels of immigration that clearly need, both for economic and social cohesion reasons, to be reduced. There has been no moves to protect or enhance the speech rights of British subjects, the government’s energy policy has been revealed to be a castle built on shifting sands and the public sector is as unreformed and as disgracefully wasteful as ever it was.

But there’s another area where the Government has spoken the words that many of us want to hear but have then proceeded to do little or nothing about the subject they’ve pontificated about. In this area, that of gender identity politics, the Government have quite rightly stood up and acknowledged that the Cult of Trans has gone too far. The Government was presented, over the course of years, with comprehensive and irrefutable evidence that young people, in particular young women, suffering from what are mental health conditions that manifest in gender identity issues, were being hastily rushed into embarking on medical and surgical procedures that would mutilate and sterilise them. Eventually the Government or rather elements within it started to make the right or rather the morally correct noises about the actions of NHS gender identity staff and the decisions they’ve made along with siding with parents who are unhappy that children are being fed the falsehood that they can be what they are not.

A lot of people welcomed the criticism of the gender identity cult when it was voiced by the Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi and by the Health Secretary Sajid Javid. These are the words that we wanted to hear coming from our political leaders. Many of us wanted to hear that no longer would trans activists be going into schools and lying to our kids by telling them that they could change their sex or that the NHS should not be transitioning mentally distressed teenage girls.

The problem is, as the writer Josephine Bartosch writing in The Critic magazine, has discovered, is that the words from various government ministers about the need to rein in the excesses of the cult of trans are just that, words. Despite the Government’s public facing attitude to the problems in schools and the NHS when it comes to the gender identity cult and its influence, little concrete appears to be being done.

The NHS is still advertising for medical practitioners who will carry out ‘masculinising’ procedures at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on girls aged 17 and over despite the Health Secretary denouncing the NHS for ‘ideological’ gender treatments and stating that the NHS is ‘failing children’ by embarking on inappropriate gender transitions of them. Various trans activist groups are also still being contracted by schools to help to teach the now compulsory Relationship and Sex Education lessons.

The Government is making the right noises about safeguarding children and stopping them from becoming victims of what are quite plainly experimental and often failed or inappropriate gender transition treatments, treatments that the patients, as they mature as individuals, seem increasingly to be regretting. However it’s where words need to be transmuted into actions where this Government is failing. Despite stating the obvious that gender ideology and gender transition treatments should not be given to those who are intellectually unable to either properly consent or be aware of the long term consequences, the trans cult marches through our institutions without proper challenge. Our children are still being lied to by gender identity cultists in schools and the mini-Mengeles of the NHS are still cutting healthy breasts off of mentally ill young women in order to ‘affirm’ the delusions of the patient.

The problem of children being afflicted by gender identity treatments in such a way that it will impinge on and impede their life chances is still with us, despite the correct seeming words uttered by our politicians. When the Government should be taking action to protect children and young people from the ministrations of a cult that is completely detached from reality, all we get is empty words. We should expect better than that from our government. We deserve better than that.

Bullshit is no substitute for concrete action against an ideology that is harming children and removing rights that women need and which were fought for since the 19th century. The problem is that bullshit is all we seem to be getting from this government on this issue just as we get bullshit from government about excessive migration, energy policy, free speech and the failures of our public sector.

  1. Well said, we have a government that does nothing but spout bullshit. As a resigned member of the Conservative party who left because he could no longer stand the bullshit, sleaze and betrayals I honestly think they have no chance of winning an election for a decade.

Thank you. You expect some bullshit from government for example to obscure a intelligence source or to avoid harm to an ally, but the amount of bullshit and the variety of said bullshit we get from this government is phenomenal. It’s everything from ‘shutting the economy down won’t bring long term harm’, via ‘we are tackling the immigration problem’ and ‘this terror attack was nothing to do with Islam’ right through to pretending to act on the dangerous extremes of the cult of trans as sensible people have demanded.

If it is the Civil Service acting as blocks to policies that a government with a massive majority want to bring in and which promotes its own favoured policies, then the govt needs to get to grips with this problem as it could be at the route of many other issues.

  2. There are (at least) 90,000 ‘civil’ servants blocking changes between government words and actions. Perhaps the cull, if it ever happens, could be turned into a game show? No job, leave now, but to survive, you must escape over Westminster bridge whilst being shot at. It’d be a ratings winner!

    • Your right, the TV shows Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister we so realistic they were positivity frightening.

I certainly do not believe that the Civil Service has abandoned the concept of manipulating ministers.

There’s certainly a surfeit of civil servants with overmanning in areas that should be slimmed down and undermanning in more critical areas.
