From Elsewhere: The route 380 bus to Hell, via Purgatory, Skid Row and Wembley is somewhat delayed.

Things continue to get worse on the streets and on the public transport in Sadiq Khan’s shithole aka London. Apparently some bloke didn’t like what some old lady said about something or other, so he kicked off and forced every passenger off of the bus. Nobody stood up to this nutter not even the driver.

This is just another normal crappy day in Sadiq Khan’s increasingly unpleasant craphole. I’m damned glad that I no longer have to subject my family or myself to London or its declining culture and only have to go there when I absolutely have to.

  1. Such things are not confined to London. My wife and I try not to go to our town centre anymore for just such reasons as this. We have witnessed assault, drunken behaviour and aggressive begging there and don’t wish to expose ourselves to it now. The really interesting thing is if you report such things to the police they tell you the town centre is private now so it’s not their concern. I am told shop lifting is almost legal there now and unless the theft is of more than £50 value the police won’t even recognize it as a crime. I have been accosted by so many beggars in the town when I have had to go there I won’t speak to them in English anymore, I find that if they think your not an easy English target they will go away and leave you alone.

Agree that the problems of anti social behaviour are spreading and are not confined to London although London is a particularly good example of what happens when an area is badly policed and badly run.

  2. It’s quite a shock to discover some people in the streets, aggressive, needy, without any moral compass and seemingly entirely without empathy.
The big secret the Young don’t know is that no-one really feels old inside, despite their physical age. The mind maintains the vigour of youth, even if the body can no longer perform. But the street scenes we’re now suffering are making my mind catch up.

There’s always been a proportion of people who go through life without any moral compass or any empathy for others, we only need to look at the cases of the 19th/early 20th century ‘Baby Farmers’ to see that. What’s different now is that there seem to be more of them and they are much more visible.

Good point you make about the decline in behaviour on our streets getting the mind to catch up with the body.
