Question: Are there any Met officers left who are not criminals? Another Met nonce scandal.

London’s Metropolitan Police seems to be mired in scandal. If it’s not their piss poor policing tactics that include kneeling for BLM/Commie protestors, nicking people for political comment or jokes, treating eco-fascists with (vegan of course) kid gloves, then it’s having to deal with the fall out from finding out that some of its officers are more criminal than the criminals they are supposed to catch.

Now the Met is going to have to deal with another scandal, this time another nonce type one. According to the London Evening Standard two former police officers have pleaded guilty at London’s Southwark Crown Court to a string of charges relating to child sexual exploitation material. A third man, a serving police inspector with the Met, committed suicide before charges could be laid before him.

The Evening Standard said:

Two retired police officers have admitted sharing thousands of indecent images of children in a paedophile ring with a serving Met Police Chief Inspector.

Jack Addis, 63, and Jeremy Laxton, 62, both had access to a shared hard drive along with Chief Inspector Richard Watkinson, exchanging large numbers of illegal images over the course of at least three years.

The paedophile ring was uncovered when Laxton came under investigation in Lincoln, leading to the discovery of a series of electronic devices containing indecent images.

On January 12, Watkinson, a Chief Inspector for neighbourhoods policing in the Met’s West Area Command Unit, was found dead as he was on the verge of being charged in the case.

The Crown Prosecution Service had authorised a string of child sex and misconduct allegations to be brought against him.

A further hearing into this case possibly related to sentencing, will take place on June 21st. It is expected that custodial sentences will be given to these two officers.

Whilst I accept that the Met Police, like any other force or any other human institution, will contain those who are wrong’uns, I also can’t deny that the Met seems to contain a lot, possibly a disproportionate amount, of the sort of people who should not be in uniform and should definitely not be in any position of authority over others. Sadly, as time goes by I expect to see more cases like this and about police misconduct in general connected to the Met Police in general start to come to light and it’s correct to ask just how many nonces, rapists, thugs, religious extremists and political activists are currently serving in the Metropolitan Police? Unfortunately the answer is likely to include the words ‘a lot’.

Seemingly Not, or they are in the minority.
Frankly the police scare me sh*tless and I avoid all contact.
I’m just waiting to be tasered for carrying a walking stick or wearing a violent coloured jumper

You’d expect to find a few wrong’uns but the Met seems to have more than a few. I agree with you about being wary of the police and I say that as someone who used to have a lot of professional contact with them and who has worked for police publications a few decades back.

You missed out the vengeful, the mendacious, the arse coverers, and blunderingly incompetent.
I had considerable experience of those when they tried to fit me up in 2019.

Even worse, were those who knew what was going on, even witnessing events, but kept quiet and went along with the stitch up.
The result being that 4yrs on, the sheer corruption and injustice is never far below the surface.
The sense of injustice impinges on my thoughts every single day and doesn’t fade.

Having been stitched up by dishonest Met officers back in 1987 after I pissed them off and made them look a little silly I can well understand people’s distrust of police and in particular the Met.
