A double barrelled quote of the day for you all today. First this one Janey X

There’s also this one from Pete North the political commentator on the subject of the Green’s Member of Parliament for the constituency of Jihadism and Airhead South, Hannah Spencer, after she whined about booze being available in the Palace of Westminster (Hint for Ms Spencer: The Palace of Westminster is technically a Royal Palace where normal licensing rules do not apply and if Parliamentarians want bars they get bars which are open when they want them).

Re first quote, it may be nuanced to ask “How long was the shirt?”.
Re the second, Hannah Spencer is certainly making waves and soundbites, but if I had been voting in Gorton and Denton I would have looked at her record as a councillor first.
The upcoming May election results are going to be interesting.
You are correct that it’s probably right to ask ‘how long was the shirt’? Re H Spencer. Looking at a person’s councilor record is what normal people would do but in Gorton and Denton it seemed to be a case that one community was voting for ‘Palestine’ and Jew hatred whilst others were desperately wanting to get rid of Labour because of issues with their previous Labour MP.
I very much agree with you about the May locals, it is indeed going to be interesting. I think that the Big Two will take a hit although the Tories might do better than expected in some places maybe Birmingham, Labour are going to take a seats hit more so than the Tories and The Greens will do well with the Jew hating Islamic and Left wing crowds. I expect to see far too many sectarian ‘independent’ types gaining seats. We’ll also see if Reform’s reasonable polling can be reflected in council seats. If Restore Britain stand in any places then we’ll get to see if their online hype and their seemingly less than stellar and less than strict membership policies are making any real world as opposed to internet impact. Lib Dems might do OK in those areas that they have not buggered up whilst in local government but they like Labour might lose their middle class Lefty/communist vote to the Greens. As for me I hope that the Social Democratic Party hold onto the council seats they’ve already got and hopefully gain more.
