I’m not normally given to dishing out praise on the police forces of Yorkshire knowing what I know about these forces failure to stop the Islamic Rape Gangs that have terrorised and scarred the Yorkshire area among others. However a recent article by Dr Richard North on Turbulent Times has caused me to change my stance somewhat and praise West Yorkshire Police.
According to Dr North, West Yorkshire Police have managed to bust a significant money laundering gang that may have dealt with at least £266 million in criminal assets. This operation Dr North said was not a local one it was taking in dirty money from criminal groups across the country and funnelling it via the main company involved in the money laundering.
This the culmination it appears of a decade long investigation and the amounts involved in this case are probably just the tip of a very large iceberg with similar money laundering operations likely to also be in operation. Dr North’s story is an amazing tale of dogged investigation into an area of criminality that might often be difficult for investigators to penetrate if money gained by criminality has been ‘washed’ to make it appear legitimate.
