And the L-rd might have said ‘Let there be a plague of bedbugs on the Guardian’

If you know your book of Exodus then you will know that G-d sent ten terrible plagues to the Egyptians in order to get them to set free their enslaved Israelites. Well it seems that another plague has descended not on the Egyptians this time but on the ‘journalists’ of the notoriously Israel hating Guardian newspaper.

Apparently according to GB news the Guardian building is infested by bedbugs. The paper, beloved of Britain’s Left wing nutbags, public sector types and Israel haters has tried in vain to get rid of the bed bugs but to no avail. No matter what they do the bed bugs keep returning.

GB News said:

“The Guardian’s head office has been found to be infested with bedbugs in a fresh blow to the newspaper’s push to get journalists back into the office.

Senior employees have enlisted help from pest controllers to attempt to tackle the vermin around the newsroom in King’s Cross.

But staffers will be allowed to work from home while the experts get a grip on the infestation.

Earlier in September, they carried out an initial deep clean across the second floor of its headquarters – but it was not enough.

Staff have already made further reports of bedbugs around the office.

The company’s chiefs penned an email to their juniors, allowing them to work from home if they did not want to work in the office while the pests are purged.

The email said: “We appreciate this might be unsettling for some staff.”

Following the bedbug surge, the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) sent staff a link to a Guardian article about the dangers of the insects.”

I’m not completely heartless over this issue. I have immense sympathy for the bed bugs having to share living space with Guardian journalists. It must be hell for the bugs having to live alongside the middle class Lefties of the Guardian. Maybe someone should set up a crowdfunder for the insects so that they can be moved to somewhere more salubrious?

  1. I would’ve thought that even bedbugs had more standards than to go anywhere near the Grauniad. Parasitic standards have slipped badly.

My one wish is that the staffers inadvertently carry the bedbugs to their own places. Now THAT would be really funny, with the offshore tax-haven, based, all but broke, Grauniad having to pay to get their staff’s homes fumigated.

Now, if we can arrange for a staff visit to the BBC…

Mind you, the pest controllers may have difficulty differentiating the bugs from the cockroach like staffers.

Hopefully a plague of boils from some bug in the aircon and three days of darkness when the power supply blows. I won’t go as far as the slaying of the firstborn, but the world would probably not miss the odious gay4gaza Owen Snotty Jones, the perpetually sneering Polly Toytown-Trot and the monstrously racist Yasmin Alibhai-nonwhite.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways. You need a heart of stone not to laugh.

    • As someone said BTL on the Guido version of this story the staffers probably brought the bugs in themselves on their Keffiyahs.
