There is a line in the movie ‘V For Vendetta’ where ‘V’ the anti-Establishment hero’s plan is coming together. A police officer who is investigating the activities of ‘V’ finally puts all the pieces of the case together and starts to understand that the villain of the piece, the High Chancellor, only has one tactic he can reach for to use against a newly awoken British people and that’s to engage in oppression. The police officer says that the High Chancellor will act ‘in the only way he knows how’. This as anyone with any awareness of what is going on in the real Britain of today has echoes of what’s happening with regard to Britain’s own real life anti-Establishment heroes and the Labour government’s response to them.

The first and only tactic that the Government has and is reaching for is oppression and they are reaching for that tool as they will not deal with the problems that affect the country. They will not halt excessive immigration numbers or incompatible types of migration. They will not institute a sensible energy policy. They will not deal robustly with radical Islam something that would be of benefit to both the indigenous Briton and the moderate Muslim. They will not reform the economy and neither will they repair the damage that decades of Left wing infiltration has done to local government, the Civil Service, defence, healthcare, education and much else and they will most certainly not stop the invader boats. They will not deal with any of that but instead deal only with the symptoms of problems, such as Britons complaining, and not the problems themselves.

The problem, for the Government that is, everything they doing is making things worse. They are continuing to send politicised police after those Britons who are complaining whilst doing nothing at all about the sort of individuals and causes that we should ALL be concerned about such as Hamas supporters.

Dr Richard North writing at Turbulent Times on the subject of the arrest and remand into custody of patriot campaigner Danny Tommo said:

An impartial observer – looking upon the pursuit of Danny Tommo through the courts for the heinous crime of slashing the abandoned dinghy formerly owned by an unknown people trafficker – might conclude that the establishment collective has lost its mind.

That includes the police, the CPS, the Judiciary and the grey men behind the Home Office – plus the Muslim home secretary who recently called Tommo “a far-right and outright racist” who would feel “the full force of the law” if his organisation committed any crimes.

Whichever way you look at it. The optics are terrible. Over the least three days. 1,086 illegal migrants have landed on these shores (as well as a few more from undetected boats). They are being fed, clothed and housed at taxpayer expense, yet are unrestrained, free to do whatever they please.

Yet their response is to lock up Tommo for his symbolic gesture of defiance, slashing one of the dinghies. But even that was too late to stop the occupiers coming into the country.

The arrest and imprisonment of Danny Tommo, which in my view was done in order to intimidate those who may be minded to support him is not going to help matters. The Government seem determined to frighten people away from supporting Mr Tommo’s peaceful direct action group Patriot Platform and even sent a Muslim ‘hanging judge’ from his usual perch at Westminster Magistrates Court to the court in Reading where Mr Tommo was appearing on charges of damaging an empty migrant boat and refusing to give police the PIN of his phone. Even to the less cynical observer this action looks like one where the government is determined to gaol Mr Tommo and did not wish to run the risk that a normal magistrate might have granted him bail.

Since Mr Tommo was sent to gaol more information has come out about the Muslim ‘hanging judge’ that the Government set on Mr Tommo. Judge Tan Ikram is a man of controversy. He is robust to the level of extreme when it comes to sentencing for ‘speech crimes’ such as when he gaoled an ex police officer for a joke about dead American criminal George Floyd but as meek as a lamb when those who have worn Hamas associated emblems come before him. Judge Ikram is a symbol of the rot that has infected Britain’s policing and criminal justice system, he’s been accused of being overtly ‘political’ and of having ‘bias’ towards the sort of political currents favoured by the Left. He’s a man who has played his role as a modern day ‘Judge Jefferies’ well and to the satisfaction of the Labour government. Maybe Judge Ikram and those like him should consider what happened to Judge Jefferies. Regimes, even ones that think they are invincible, such as that of James II do not last forever and like Jefferies Judge Ikram may find himself at some time in the future in a Britain where there is a very different government than what there is today. Jefferies, abandoned by James II, had to flee for his life when the Glorious Revolution happened and William III’s troops and an angry public turned on him. He died in sickness and disgrace and something similar to this is what might happen to the Government’s judicial handmaidens if Britain has a radical governmental turn. I don’t want to see a repeat of what happened to Judge Jefferies but as Harold Macmillan was reputed to have said to a journalist ‘events dear boy,events’ have a tendency to blow regimes off course and are clearly out of my control.

The gaoling of Mr Tommo has brought forth a whole load of comments from the great and now seethingly angry British public about two tier justice with tales of migrants being given lenient sentences abounding and contrasting them with draconian sentences handed out to angry British patriots who have been convicted of relatively minor crimes. It’s clear that by going after Mr Tommo and others who have involved themselves in anti-invader protests the government has not calmed things down as much as they might have thought this action might have done. Even commentators on the sensible centre Left are drawing attention to this and other instances of two tier justice. Here’s what Mr Paul Embery, one of the Left’s more sensible and moderate voices said about the recent gaoling of a man for throwing an empty plastic bottle towards police during a demonstration against Channel Invaders.

“More information emerging about the conviction of Del Somerville (jailed for two years for throwing a plastic bottle and telling police officers to ‘F**k off’ at a protest against the small boats). The court heard that Somerville had played a relatively minor role at the incident, had tried to pull another protester away when he confronted police, actually lived at the marina rather than travelled there for the purpose of protesting, and that the plastic bottle he threw was ‘small’ or ’empty’. It’s impossible, in the context of wider sentencing policy in this country, to avoid the conclusion that the sanction handed down to Somerville amounts to two-tier justice.”

Spot on there Mr Embery. Speaking as someone who once used to do public disorder news photography for the Press I’m in a position to speak with experience about the throwing of empty plastic bottles. When I was in such civil conflict situations I and others of my trade used to treat a flying empty plastic bottle as a nothingburger. We would worry about glass bottles, Molotov cocktails, police truncheons and bricks but never empty plastic bottles. Even the police at the time seemed to take a similar view and would not bring out the ‘artillery’ in the form of police horses for something as minor as this. The police at the time understood, because many of them had had extensive public order training, that going after those chucking empty bottles or going after the drunken ‘Brew Crew’ at CND demos who shouted ‘bombs not jobs’ at every opportunity, did not calm potential trouble but escalated it.

So it is with the current round of anti-invader protests. Instead of calming things down by holding the line against non-violent protestors and not responding to nothingburger activity on the part of protestors they are instead steaming in and making things a whole lot worse. In a way this is a repeat of how the police behaved under central government instruction following the Southport Atrocity. The police steamed in, nabbed peaceful protestors or those on the extreme sidelines of protests or nicked people for words online that anybody in their right mind could see were not liable to credibly incite immediate violence. They did this at the same time as the police used a kid gloves approach to armed and angry Muslims who had also taken to the streets. That’s not the way to de-escalate, this is how police forces that have increasingly lost the support of the public, make things a thousand times worse.

It’s clear to me the Establishment is panicking. They know that their policies, especially migration policies, are enormously unpopular with the public. If they were not panicking they would think calmly and carefully and deal with the root cause of public disquiet but they refuse to, they cling on, as did the High Chancellor in V for Vendetta, to the only thing that they have which is oppression of the people. We are now in a situation where the only parts of the public that favour the Government’s line and the Government’s policies are those who get all or most of their news from the BBC and the number of people who are like that is shrinking rapidly by the day. If you don’t believe me on that then go and talk to one of the dwindling number of people who still trust the BBC and you will find, as I have, how woefully uninformed they are about the real state that Britain is at present.

For multiple decades we’ve trusted Westminster and the Westminster political parties to put right what the political classes have got so badly wrong. Many of us can now see that our trust in such politicians has been misplaced. These parties, the Tories, Labour and the Liberal Democrats have not solved the problems that Britons are angry about but have made such problems infinitely worse.

Because the Westminster parties have let Britons down so terribly badly we are now seeing what myself and others have predicted and warned about which is politics moving from the debating houses of our Parliament and onto the streets. This transfer of the venue of where politics is practised is liable to get pretty unpleasant indeed. The British people are not wholly to blame for the transfer of politics from Parliament to the street apart from continuing to vote for the parties that have created the problems, the majority of the blame for this venue transfer comes from the political classes themselves. We asked for the sort of change that would benefit us all and the political classes spat in our faces and this is why things are rapidly declining. You can only push people, even the generally peaceable and law abiding Britons, so far before there is an unpleasant reaction and the British people are now reacting. I have wished and prayed that it had not come to this but this is where we are.
