The blogger Longrider has waded into the story of the increasingly demented Trans Rights Activists (TRAs) and their hatred of the writer JK Rowling. According to Longrider there’s been a big Harry Potter themed event at a shop on London’s once premier shopping street Oxford Street and this event has been protested by TRAs.

Longrider spoke eloquently of the tactics of the TRAs who make false appeals to authority arguments that there are more than two sexes and that humans can transition between one and the other. He also pointed out the habit of the TRAs of making emotion based but reality challenged claims that JK Rowling is contributing to the death or oppression of trans people. In addition Longrider wrote of the tendency, which I and others have noticed, of TRAs when their rubbish arguments are countered, to get aggressive and sometimes violent.

Longrider said that JK Rowlings arguments for women’s rights and women’s need for women specific spaces were ‘unremarkable’. I agree there, Ms Rowlings words are indeed unremarkable and would have been seen as reasonable and common sense just a few decades ago.

Longrider said:

“She (JK Rowling – Ed) spoke the truth – that men cannot become women. That single sex spaces should remain so, and she also put money into a shelter for abuse victims.

None of this is remarkable, yet the troons are determined to make an issue out of it – strawmanning everything she has said in the process. They do this because, frankly, the reality is so unremarkable. They’ve done it to me whenever I’ve popped into discussions on the subject. The strawman is the go-to resort of these people. Although they have tried co-opting scientific evidence that suggests grey areas in human biology that, in layman’s terms, tells us that some men are feminine and some women are masculine. Neither have changed sex, though, and there are not multiple sexes. Yet this is used in their appeal to authorioty fallacies.

When all this fails as it always does, they switch to insults, threats and intimidation – that testosterone has to go somewhere after all.

Now, because they are unhappy with Rowling’s unremarkable comments, they are trying to intimidate a shop that is doing them no harm whatsoever and has no part to play in the controversy.”

Well said there Longrider. It’s this catastrophising, extremist and bullying behaviour that pisses me off about the votaries of the Cult of Trans as well. They should not be intimidating shop staff who after all are only there to make a living. Personally I find the decision of these Trans Cultists to strut their demented stuff in environments where they must know that there are significant numbers of children and young people around extremely distasteful. Kids out with their parents to see Harry Potter displays should not be exposed to Trans mental cases screaming about ‘trans genocide’ or ‘suicidal trans kids’ or anything similar, it’s not appropriate in the slightest. The problem with the Trans Cultists is that they’ve abandoned any thought of what sorts of protests may or may not be appropriate or whether their deranged screaming might cause distress to children. They are so deeply dominated by their cultist thinking that to them nothing else matters except screaming about JK Rowling.

Like Longrider I agree with people having the right to protest but what we see from the TRA’s is often not protest but intimidation and intimidation of children, parents, shop workers and the general public. The TRA’s should be able to protest and speak their solitary braincell but maybe they should be moved away from those areas where they cause the most disruption and distress? They certainly should not be allowed to set up shop in Oxford Street to scream and shout at children and parents just on a day out to look at the Harry Potter displays.

I once attended a march in London by those who were campaigning for the right of adult men to nail their scrota to pieces of wood and they were, despite the nature of their cause, demonstrators who behaved with a lot more decorum and appropriateness than the TRAs do. Maybe if we all realised that the TRAs are not campaigning for their own rights but instead to remove the rights of others, such as women and those who have valid intellectual arguments against the Cult of Trans, then we might all see what the TRAs really are which is intolerant bullies who will not accept ‘no’ for an answer.
