It’s not often that I say the phrase ‘There’s good news out of the Labour Party’ but today is one of those days. The current Labour leader has acted against former leader Jeremy Corbyn following the release of the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s report into Jew hatred in the Labour Party.

I expected the report to be bad but it seems that it is bad enough to warrant Sir Kier Starmer removing the Labour whip from Corbyn and effectively removing Corbyn from the Labour Party. This booting from the party of a former leader is not unprecedented in the Labour Party, they kicked out Ramsey McDonald for serving in a coalition government with the Tories. However, that incident was in the 1930’s and I don’t recall it being used by the party since then although other Labour MP’s have lost the whip, it’s rare indeed for a former leader to be disciplined in this way.

If the Labour Party wants to make itself electable again then the removal from the party of Jeremy Corbyn should only mark the start of a proper purge. The Labour leader will of course need to get rid of the Corbynistas, those in the Parliamentary Party and in the party generally who supported and sustained Corbyn. However, I believe that this purge needs to go further.

It should be remembered that although the far Left Corbyn supporters were heavily involved in harassing Jews in the Labour Party, there are many Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims who were also highly favourable to the idea of Labour being a party that had an animus against Jews. These Pakistani and Bangladeshi Labour activists, who have supported the lefty Jew haters in Labour and to a large degree have corrupted a number of local Labour party branches should also be expelled.

The problem of Jew hatred in Labour was and is a two pronged affair. There is the secular Jew hatred of the far Left on the one hand and on the other there is the religious Jew hatred of the Muslim Labour party activists and supporters. If Sir Keir Starmer deals with both these pillars of crap in the party then he might stand a chance of making the party more attractive to the average Briton. But it’s a moot point as to whether or not Starmer will take the inevitable short term electoral hit that would be caused by Muslims turning their back on the party should he spank the Muslims in his party in any appreciable way. Personally I think that if he made the party less able to be dominated by Islamic interests then he might find more people willing to vote for Labour.

In any event I’m delighted to see Corbyn lose the Labour whip. I just wish I could be a fly on the wall at the next meeting of the meshuganim of the ‘Jews for Jeremy’ lot. They must be seriously triggered by what Starmer has done. If Starmer is pissing off the lefty lunatics and the Commies posing as Jews in the Jews for Jeremy group, then he must be doing at least something correct.

I suspect that what we may be in for in the Labour Party is an intense period of internal bloodletting. I suspect that it will be far worse than what happened in the 1980’s and early 1990’s when Neil Kinnock the former leader had to root out members of the Trotskyite Left from the party. Back then the Trots were not as heavily embedded in senior positions in the management of the party as the Far Left and the Muslim activists are so embedded in today’s Labour Party. I’m going pour myself a scotch, grab some popcorn and watch the Labour Party implode. I only hope that what can come out of the end of that bloodletting is a Labour Party more similar in outlook and policy to the aims of its founders and less like the middle class Metro-left and Islamic identity politics types that dominate the party today.

  1. I’d add that it’s not just “the religious Jew hatred of the Muslim Labour party activists and supporters” but also some Muslim MPs, Naz Shah (about whom you’ve blogged) springs to mind for one.
The list of Labour anti-semites on https://antisemitism.org/politics/labour/ is long and disgusting. Personally I’d let one incident go, this may be a case of just speaking thoughtlessly or making a tasteless joke of the “An Englishman, a Scot and a Jew walk into a bar” type, but when you are a repeat offender (24 incidents anyone) then you are clearly an anti-semite.
Starmer has a LOT of work to do to clean house and, as you say, there will be a lot of blood-letting; or at least one hopes so, as that is the only way Labour can really get itself cleaned up.
    We will see.

  2. Removing RoPers ain’t going to happen. Labour has sold itself as party of minorities for decades. Ramped up as Unions dwindled.

They don’t care if they lose Jewish vote as it’s shrinking (forced emigration) while imported RoPs growing by hundreds per day, and they still have the RC vote.

Labour, post 1997, is not “working man’s party” now; it’s Public Sector and the on ‘benefits’, RoP & other ‘minorities’ and media. ‘Workers’ can go whistle

March through the institutions has gained control of Conservative party, not members, too.

Labour may not care about the Jewish vote as a voting block but Labour do care about their public image. Labour do need to do something about their corrupt and sometimes extreme ROPER support but as you say they may not be brave enough to do that despite the fact that if they made such a move it would make the party more popular generally. As for the Tories I’m mightily disappointed at how they’ve surrendered to the Left, I and others expected better from them. My vote will be going to Reclaim next time.

  5. Labor lost the working class when it begun ‘assessing people on race, gender, sexuality’

The working class in Australia has figured out that “all Labor does is sneer at them” since it fell down the path of assessing people by race, gender, and sexuality, according to former Labor leader Mark Latham

That is correct. Labour’s twist towards identity politics even pissed off the working classes in port areas which were more racially mixed than the rest of the country where people had learned to get along.

Very true that. I think that the Left and the ROPERS may turn on Starmer and make his life very difficult. Unlike with Militant who were got rid of in the 80’s the Corbynites have managed to embed themselves everywhere in the party.
