Quote of the Day – Suspicious timing is it not?

So we in Britain are going to be in for a whole load more Islamopandering from the State. None of this Islamopandering will be of any benefit to those Muslim citizens of Britain who have integrated and thrown their lot in with the rest of us. The main beneficiaries will be Islamic religious extremists, potential terrorists, Islamic supremacists, rapists and other criminals.

Yes the Government has decided that Britons should shut up about Islam and is going to be appointing an ‘anti-Muslim hatred tsar’. I’ll give you odds of a pound to a penny that whoever occupies that post will not be from one of those smaller more peaceful and open minded sects of Islam that no reasonable person could object to. Instead there’s a strong possibility that they will be some Taqiyya artiste with sympathies to at least one form of Islamic extremism whether that be promoting an amalgam of Common Law and Shariah Law, or ‘Palestine’ or some other form of political Islam. I hope I’m proven wrong but the chance that the current UK government will appoint one of the followers of the Aga Khan’s more peaceable Ismaili branch of Islam doesn’t look high. Even if the government did act contrary to its record and appoint such a person the chances that they would be countermanded by those of more extremist bent in this organisation are also very high.

This entity, which exists solely and purely to cater for the wants of a community that in general has not had that good a record for integration or loyalty to the nation and its people or even obeying the law and which has produced a myriad of violent extremists, is probably going to cost the country millions of pounds. It will be used by every shady political Islamist to silence criticism of Islam or the conduct of Muslims. It is, despite government assurances to the contrary, going to be a massive attack on what’s left of freedom of speech in the UK.

The timing of the announcement by the government that we are going to have a taxpayer funded Islamic censor watching over us is suspicious and that suspiciousness has been noticed by the person who has made my quote of the day list for today. This person makes the point that just as it’s likely that a whole can of worms regarding things like the Islamic Rape Gangs is about to be properly and sadly belatedly opened, the government cracks down on the public’s ability to discuss the ideology that has clearly driven so many of those who took part and were members of these rape gangs.

Here’s the quote and the link to it:

The idea that we’re going to have an Islamophobia law only one year after the grooming gang scandal blew up, mainly because people were scared to criticise Islam, is absolutely insane and, in my opinion, disgusting.”

This person is correct. The timing of this decision to burden Britons with a censorious Islamic panjandrum and wreck further the dwindling free speech rights of Britons, does look odd doesn’t it?

I agree with him that it is disgusting that the government made up of the party that in local government failed to do much at all about Islamic Rape Gangs because they didn’t want to talk about Islam, has brought in a system to further censor Britons right to discuss and criticise Islam.

This monstrosity is not needed. Britain already has sufficient laws already in place to deal with physical attacks on Muslims and their property. I’m the very last person who would wish any harm to come to any person merely on the grounds of their faith but we already have protections against physical assault and harassment and criminal damage. There are already numerous speech control laws in place with thousands of Britons arrested every year under them should some Muslim find himself ‘offended’.

There’s no need for this new bullshit ‘hate tsar’.

We should be free to discuss, accept or criticise religion. A person should be as free to call Mohammed a noncey warlord as another person is entitled to call the ancient Israelites genocidal bastards for what they did to the Amalekites and yet another call the Pope the Antichrist. A land where one can say ‘Buddah was a big fat bastard’ but not Mohammed raped a nine year old girl, is not one with true freedom of speech.

This new ‘Muslim hate tsar’ and its almost inevitable enforcement arm will have the affect of downgrading in society those of other faiths because if to give power over one religion and not others then you weaken the protections of the followers of these faiths. We do not have a Jew hatred tsar, nor one for Christians or Hindus or Sikhs. We do not have anti-racist groups that protect members of every race from unnecessary discrimination but only members of certain groups.

None of this is good for a society that wishes to consider itself open, free and with a legal system that treats everyone as an equal.

The sudden capitulation by the Labour government to Islamic interests who wish to remove Britons right to discuss Islam and its place and effect on our society just as the bulk of the country is starting to become aware of some of the problems brought to us by some members of the Islamic community does look suspicious.

The late great Christopher Hitchens was a prominent critic of Islam and is said to have tore apart the concept of ‘Islamophobia’ by saying: “Islamophobia: a word created by fascists, and used by cowards, to manipulate morons.”  Bearing in mind that this government seems to be guided by concern about ‘Islamophobia’ should we ask whether Starmer’s government are the fascists, the cowards or the morons or a combination of all three?

  1. should we ask whether Starmer’s government are the fascists, the cowards or the morons or a combination of all three?
I vote a mix of cowards and morons (we do have D.Lammy as foreign sec after all). Being on the left they are not fascists, but are very authoritarian. So if I may paraphrase Hitchens:
“Islamophobia: a word created by authoritarians and used by authoritarians and cowards, to manipulate morons.”
