This year as every year I will be buying a Remembrance Poppy from the Royal British Legion. But after reading what the Legion are spending donations on I shall give only the minimum needed to the Legion for the Poppy and give a larger donation to a local military veterans charity in the name of my late father and late father in law who both served in Britain’s military.

The reason for this decision is the revelation that the Royal British Legion are employing a Head of Diversity and Inclusion at a salary of £64,000 per year. I don’t know about you but I want money donated to the Royal British Legion to be spent on veterans in need and not DEI grifters who create no value and are of no help to military veterans.
