Another clown world police force. When a difference of opinion is defined as a ‘hate crime’.

Many of us saw how the whole concepts of ‘hate crime’ and ‘hate speech’ would work out, which is why many people myself included have spoken out against them. These ‘hate’ laws do not stop the emotion of hatred but instead help to create societies where not everyone is subject to the same law and where some favoured minorities often get more protection from the law than anybody else.

We have ended up with situation where a person from Group A could make an allegation about a person from Group B and it would be totally ignored by the police and the CPS. However a person from Group B, which in this example is a group favoured by the progressives, who made a similar complaint ends up being fawned upon by the police and CPS. This is not the way to go if society wants laws that are respected by all. Creating a tyranny of the offended merely creates a cohort of people who cannot be criticised and in democratic societies the right to criticise, even when that criticism is deemed by the recipient to be ‘offensive’, is vital.

A good example of how agents of the states have also become handmaidens for the tyrants of ‘offence’ comes from Essex Police. This force covers an area that is said to be the 20th most dangerous county in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and also one that polices Basildon, the most dangerous large town in the county. Essex is afflicted by high crime rates including violence and sexual offences which make up the bulk of the crimes committed in the county.

There’s a lot that Essex Police could be doing to improve the lives of the residents of their crime riddled patch, such as concentrating their resources on the crimes that most bother the average person, including violent and sexual crime. Unfortunately this is not what Essex Police have decided to do. Not only have they dedicated resources to celebrate ‘Pride Month’ but have flown the divisive ‘progress’  version of the rainbow flag that to many people represents racial and trans interests impinging on the LGB groups that the rainbow represents (see image below).

On top of this the force decided that they didn’t want to hear of any contrary opinions about trans issues or gay issues nor did they want their virtue signalling questioned. As you can see in the Tweet from Essex Police that is screenshotted below, they threatened to arrest for ‘hate crimes’ those whose comments were less than supportive of either Pride, the LGB community or Trans activism. Needless to say Essex Police are getting pretty devastatingly ratioed with regards the comments to their Tweet. It’s a case of anger and mockery all round from the Great British Public.

Yes, you read that correctly. The police in Essex are going to treat contrary comments about LGBT issues and the police’s pandering to these issues as a crime. This is how far we have fallen folks. The police in Essex can’t get to grips with 72,000 violent and sexual crimes but they can divert resources towards those who have taken it upon themselves to be ‘offended’.

Sadly this is not an aberration by Essex Police. They are well into virtue signalling about trans issues even when the trans issues in question are dubious to say the least. This blog pointed out last November how Essex Police pandered to trans activists by marking ‘Trans Day of Remembrance’ even though the figures that trans activists use to justify this day are shonky to say the least. Essex Police, quite rightly in my view, got a lot of pushback from the public about their decision to parrot without thinking the propaganda of a trans activist group. The response from Essex Police was not to admit their mistake in unthinkingly repeating iffy claims by trans activists or even to step back from cringe inducing virtue signalling, instead the force doubled down and closed replies to their Twitter account and threatened to arrest those whose comments the police deemed ‘offensive’.

Essex Police are a mess. They have failed dismally to protect the residents of their area from crime or the fear of crime and preside over a county that is sinking into abject lawlessness. They could be nicking criminals or helping to prevent crime but instead they choose to engage in empty and laughable virtue signalling. Essex Police are now the sort of entity that would allow one of its major towns to become a hotbed of crime and violence whilst keenly seeking out those who fail to kow tow to the cultish gender identity narrative by using biologically correct pronouns.

If you want to know why so many of Britain’s police forces are a laughing stock that are increasingly less trusted than they once were then look no further than Essex Police.

  1. Essex police are not alone in this, in my area the police are now totally invisible. Most of us know that it’s pointless reporting most crime as nothing will be done and you will be submitted to a torrent of frankly childish excuses for lack of any action. At least hate crime allows the police to give the illusion they are doing something when in fact they are doing nothing for the poor saps who are forced to pay for none existent policing.

You are bang on when you speak of the police ‘giving the illusion that they are doing something’. You are also correct that this is not a problem confined to Essex or the Metropolitan Police. Just take a look at West Mercia for example. They are very hot on putting out publicity about ‘hate crimes’ yet seem to have a massive blindspot when it comes to an avalanche of allegations coming out of Telford about Islamic Rape Gangs.
